downstream

Two issues I need help with:
1) My 3400 psi 4 gpm cold water unit does not seem to be pulling much in the way of chems. What should I do to ?

2) Any tricks to get about 10-30 additional feet of spray distance when pulling chems? . I use a detergent nozzle from pressure tek. Usually works well but falling a bit short on a particular jobs. I avoid ladders.

thanks in advance

I know CarolinaProWash does alot of downstreaming maybe they will post.

What percentage of draw is your downstreamer? Get one with a higher draw rate. I use a 0 degree nozzle with a huge oriface (forgot the number) that pulls my chems for high places. I can easily hit the peak of a two story. Some folks use a 1/4" hose barb screwd into a female 1/4" quick connect for their stream. I rarley use a ladder and downstream all the time. If your chems are to weak for you make sure they are strong before you downstream them.
You can figure out your draw ratio by taking the amount of chem used in 60 seconds then divide by the gpms ex: 1 gal chem in 60sec divided by 4gpm =25% draw rate.
I use a 20% down streamer and achieve great results on houses, fleets etc.
Hope it helps

Desi, give Roger a call one evening (336-516-6139) - I can post on a lot of subjects, but this is not one of them :) I know he can shoot over the top of a 2 1/2 story house with his downstreamer - it even surprised him :)
