Has anyone used a hot box? I'm not sure if that is the name everyone else knows it by; but here is a link to some:

Pros?

Cons?

Since they aren't very expensive ( $1500-$1800 or so ), I was thinking it might be a handy tool to have once in a while.

You have to find a good circuit to plug into. As most will have a 20 amp draw (I know add says 115 wich is 15 amp)and if your on a weak circuit it will trip circuit breakers.Usually breakers arent a problem once in awhile you get a week one.

And you will need a good extension cord 12 awg or 10 awg is even better.
You may be limited to how far you can go away from a power source. You can make that up with a extra lenght of hose. 75- 100 foot on a good cord should not be a problem.

Have to tote around fuel along with the Hot Box so make shure you have room for the unit and five gallons of fuel.

I see Norther Tool has them also. Add will state a 115 amp draw wich is fine as long as the lights and the frig or what have you, aren't on the same circuit.>http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...?storeId=6970&productId=200016124&R=200016124
