Ok here it goes... Whats up yall I know I dont post here much I have so much work I hardly get a second.. I just rebuilt my TS 1511 general pump on my whitco machine.. One problem is this pump is rated at like 3000-3500 psi @ 4gpm... But I can only get 2700 psi out of it.. i cleaned out the unloader .. when you adjust the unloder it just spikes higher and higher but when you squezze the gun still the same 2700 psi.. I checked to make sur the siphon was not leaking , I also checked to make sure no air was getting into the pump by tightening all of the water inlet hose connections up real tight.. Then i thought maybe the thermal relif valve may be leaking so I removed it and pluged it off ... still the same thing... So what should I do ... ( Buy a new $400.00 pump???? Please help

Do you have the original pulleys on the motor and pump?

Sounds like a nozzle to me, too. The unloader spiking higher and higher tells me the unloader and pump are capable of sustaining pressure. Is the 2700 psi smooth or does it pulsate a little? If it's pulling air, it ought to chatter some.

valves

i looked at the valves and orings and they looked pretty good.. I think I am going to try a new nozzle ... It uses a 4.0 but I think the one on it is a 4.5....

If not I found a ts1511 for $399.00 i figure buy the new one put it on an save my old one as a backup???

I replaced the nozzle now i get 3500 psi @ 4gpm... But still no matter how I adjust5 the unloader stiil the same thing.. 3500 gun squeezed and 4000 spike...I am using a 15 degree 4.0 .... Now this is even more wierd ... My surface cleaner has 2 --- 2.5 nozzles in it ( should give lower pressure )) But still the same thing 3500 psi and spike at 4000.. You think my guage may be screwed up ????
