Pressure Tek's Simple Cherry Housewash

That makes better sense.

I can see your point now.

Just fyi, I mix it right into the Sh, cold or warm it does not matter, not into water, why water it down?

I get great results with it in the SH.

Whatever works for you is all that matters.

David Opinion Speak Volumes
I have been using it for 4 yrs. I always use what is left over the next day. If it sits for a few days, it does get weak. What I have mixed from Saturday will be weak tomorrow, but I will mix up more house wash and will be good to go. Now I am talking about house wash.
You can mix up simple cherry and it's shelf life very good. When mixing with 12.5% is where it starts to weaken.

I also use it for roof cleaning and the left over the next day for house washing.

I haven't had any problems mixing it. I like the stuff because the customers like the way their windows look after using it. It's easy to rinse too.

I'll reuse it the next day if I made too much but if it sits longer than that I'll end up using it on concrete.

Hi, new guy here learning hopefully not to waste chemicals. Just curious has anyone used Simple Cherry on roofs in Florida? Thank you.

Simple Cherry is good for washing houses, it's a powder so you will have to take some time in mixing it up and also make sure you use what you mix up that day. It's not for cleaning for roofs though.

Get some Roof Snot from Russ Johnson, http://shop.pressurewasherky.us/Roof-Snot-Chlorine-Stable-Surfactant-For-Roof-Cleaning-ROOFSNOT5.htm and use for both house and roof cleaning. It's liquid, mixes easily, and is the best I have ever used for doing both, houses and roofs, and will help keep you cost's down by not having a house AND a roof soap.

Thank you Doug, so far I have not found a product that actually allows you to spray a roof low pressure, wait the prescribed time and have it actually clean the roof after rinse. I will give the Roof Snot a shot. We have had non-stop rain and the algae and streaking from the shingles here in Florida has been unreal. So I assume you can mix Bleach Plus Fresh with Fresh Scent with Roof Snot and make a powerful roof cleaner for heavy stains and algae from http://shop.pressurewasherky.us/Bleach-Plus-With-Fresh-Scent-5-Gallon-Pail-SWSBP5.htm .... I am guessing as I have only used pressure and no chemicals for a few years so branching into this is new for me and I am grateful for the help. I received the contract for an assisted living community of 44 homes that require the soffits and fascia to be cleaned. I am looking at a product called New Again http://www.newagain.net/All-Purpose-Cleaner.html but again it is new ground the jobs pays over $2, 200.00 and I do not want to blow it.

Read and then re-read the great advice given in this thread so you don't waste more time and money, keep it simple.

I've used the Simple Cherry and was not impressed. Didn't mix well in my opinion. Also compared to Roof Snot it took way to much product. Also needed to scrub the windows a lot more to get the level of clean we expect.

Reading is the better part of my day the advice and knowledge is respected and appreciated. Our family is starting over at 61 so for me the help and information are nuggets of gold to learn from the best professionals. We have limited resources and are struggling to get started but I am an optimist. Thank all of you. Rick

So I assume you can mix Bleach Plus Fresh with Fresh Scent

Please clarify this...not sure what you mean....

I have tried the new again product on roofs and was not happy with the results....works great on wood....but not so much on roofs. requires to much pressure IMO.

44 houses with soffit and fascia being cleaned,..at $2,200.00??? That comes out to $50.00 per. Maybe I read it wrong??

Either way keep in mind when you clean soffit and fascia you all of the siding and windows to rinse,..adds more work than you realize,...especially if there's much debris and the amount of dirt laying on the siding that will look even worse when it has water streaks running down.

I've had a few requests to do the "high stuff" Like gutters, soffit and fascia,..I always ended up convincing them to just do everything below as well.

You really need to do some more reading on mixes and products, etc...

Yep, you will pretty much be doing a housewash for $50. There is no way to just clean the soffits and fascia without keeping the siding wet and rinsing and re-rinsing.

Thanks Jeff, you and Ralph hit the nail on the head, I would have really under-bid this not to mention the amount extra work and product given away for free. I re-visited the request for the quote and added the price of a house wash +. These are cookie cutter homes 1700 sq. ft. hip roofs and yes it would have been a newbie mistake at $50.00 per house and a bad way to get an education, real fast. Looking at so much information has a created lot of confusion about mixing and what to mix, so many opinions. Salesmanship comes into play and I am sure they will accept the higher price. Any suggestions on Jeff's comment would be great "....more reading on mixes and products, etc..."

I thought you had to mix Roof Snot with something like: [h=2]Bleach Plus With Fresh Scent, 5 Gallon Pail from Southside Equipment, Inc. or ELEMONATOR 1 GALLON http://www.pressuretek.com/el1ga.html[/h]
All-In-One Bleach Cleaning Solution Additive. Non-Hazardous
1. Helps cleaning solutions bleach better at a lower concentration.
2. Surfactants allow deeper penetration into mildew, algae and bacteria.
3. Bleach stable and will not release harmful gasses.
4. Rain Fresh scent helps cover bleach and dead algae odor.
5. Rinse agent added for more complete soft washing end result.

I like to call people by name when responding,..but I can't find yours.

Anyhow,..Don't over complicate what is basically simple work.

How are you going to be applying? If you haven't already search "downstreaming",... do so,.... Methods of dedicated pump application include,.. 12v electric, pump sprayer, etc...

You want around 2% SH hitting the surface of a typical house wash. You can adjust depending on the job at hand.
You're on the right track with soap,..you need a good soap in any house wash mix,..SH only kills molds and bleaches out stains left over by bug crap., it doesn't clean regular airborne dirt that well.

For gutter streaks you need a different product,..I prefer Purple Power,..but many here also like F-13,..from Bob at Pressuretek.com. There are many products that work,..usually comes down to cost and accessibility. In the ingredients of a gutter cleaner look for 2-Butoxyethanol or Butylcellosolve. Bobs F-13 uses a different chemical though and works well from what I hear. Potassium Hydroxide I think.

*Gutter cleaners cannot be downstreamed effectively.

**Pictures also help a great deal for the members here to give input.
