Pressure Tek's Simple Cherry Housewash

I thought you had to mix Roof Snot with something like: [h=2]Bleach Plus With Fresh Scent, 5 Gallon Pail from Southside Equipment, Inc. or ELEMONATOR 1 GALLON http://www.pressuretek.com/el1ga.html[/h]
All-In-One Bleach Cleaning Solution Additive. Non-Hazardous
1. Helps cleaning solutions bleach better at a lower concentration.
2. Surfactants allow deeper penetration into mildew, algae and bacteria.
3. Bleach stable and will not release harmful gasses.
4. Rain Fresh scent helps cover bleach and dead algae odor.
5. Rinse agent added for more complete soft washing end result.

No Roof Snot is all you need....you can add Russ's Cherry Bomb or Lemon Scent if you want to mask the bleach smell.

Hello Jeff and everyone else here,

I am Rick. Just learning my way around the site and account settings as well as pressure washing. I appreciate all you have shared, I know knowledge is the basis for this business and helping a newbie isn't the best use of time but I am very humbled by your help. I have an appointment in 15 minutes another bid but again thank you so much. I will post pictures of my equipment and work as soon as I figure that part out, I can also be reached at 321-213-7859. Thank you again. Rick ( Raising my grand-daughter and grand-son 10 and 11. Your Avatar of your son is great (I assume son). Anyway we love kids here).

Hey Rick,..the picture of the boy in my avatar isn't my son,...He is the son of a girl (acquaintance) I've known for a long time,...He and I do many fun things together,..fishing being one of them.

Back to the work,...The pictures I was talking about seeing are the ones of the soffit and fascia job you're dealing with and maybe we could give better guidance on products.

Don't get too hung up on a bunch of different products,..just starting out,..pick one of the ones mentioned for each purpose and get comfortable with it. You're right,..there are alot of products mentioned here,..mostly just variances for performing the same tasks.

Bleach is the key, component in most of the mixes you'll see here. As I said,..pick a soap,..I like eLemonator from Bob at Pressuretek.com

For gutters go to AdvanceAuto and get some Purple Power and apply through a pump sprayer and brush with a long handled brush.

**Roof cleaning is simpler than house washing.

Well I jumped into the Frey! I called Russ today and had a long conversation on mixing and ratios, an education well received. Yes, Russ summed up the same info Jeff and Doug shared, had no doubt. I ordered my first load of Roof Snot and a 5 Gallon Mini Kit BD200 for Trailers I landed a few this weekend.

Simple was actually the key Doug, I way over complicated the process.

Jeff, I spoke to the site manager who wanted me to do the 44 homes and after I explained I could not do 44 homes at $50.00 each, he replied "I have two women with brushes and buckets that are doing the job for $25.00 each, I said God bless them and handed him my business card, he looked confused as I smiled and walked away. You have to know when to fold up........Rick

Well it's Florida algae, mold and mildew. I can guarantee that brushes and buckets aren't going to budge that stuff. Unless they are well versed in SH ratios and contractor grade surfactants, which I highly doubt. Expect a call back.

yup!!.... Just do 7 jobs at $350...... = $2450 ! Work smart.. not hard ( and the ladies will still be brushing )

Nice website Matt, I just started on mine, mile to go before I sleep lol. I did website design for many years and got tired of sitting in front of a computer so I started this business little did I know.

Roof Snot, I ordered it used it on three roofs and will not look back. The suggestion by several folks and Russ instructing on ratio was impeccable. Three satisfied customers and no effort what so ever to apply, wait rinse off, get paid. I used the BD-200 recommended for gutters and trailers, not impressed it did not clean as expected. Being new I am being honest, I need a product that works and I don't have all day to waste time or money. Roof Snot 5 STARS, BD-200 -1 STAR.
Aluminum is tough without stripping paint or damage to the surface. I set pressure at 1300 psi, jacked it to 2000 to get the surface clean with great caution, dwell and mix of BD-200 to the Tee no cigar. In the hunt for a product that is easy to use and causes no damage and yes cleans.

Hey Rick, try something you can get local like Purple Power for the gutter cleaning.
Also,..I'm sure it's still been warm enough in Fla. for gutter cleaning. But just an FYI,..gutter cleaning goes MUCH better in warm temperatures,..like 70+ degrees.

this is what I use for Gutters now. http://absolutechemical.com/house-gutter-products.html

Careful when adding to much soap on tile roofs. shingles no worries .. tiles get a bit scary

Thank you Kasey, you really can not be too careful. Worked in aerospace at KSC on the shuttle for 33 years and safety was number one concern, the lessons follow me in this field now. Good advice to all to do and remember.

Thank you,

Rick

Hey Jeff,

It is still hot 89 here on the space coast today, I bought 5 gallons of Purple Power today from Lowe's will give it a try in the morning. Still working on ratios fun for a newbie lol.

Thanks Doug,

This product is inexpensive compared to many others, if I may ask what mixture (ratio's) are you using, I am willing to try anything to satisfy Florida customers mostly from up north, the mixes and ratio's are still the mystery for me. I wish there was a chart made up of gallons to bleach to cleaners. Might be a project for me someday.

Best,

Rick

Hey Rick,..You're over complicating things again,..Ha,Ha,...As far as Purple Power goes,..start your ratios in 1 part PP and 2 parts H2O,..and go fro there. The warmer the better for mixing down. Typically 1:1 will work but even if you have to use full strength,..still very cost effective. Works best out of a sprayer,..not sure why,..seems to add clinging bubbles and maybe churns up the cleaning agents?? Either it's fairly evident.

Also when ordered from AdvanceAuto online, and with coupon code TRT30,..it can be had for $19.00 for 5 gallon bucket.

*Free shipping on orders over $75.00,..which is only 4 buckets. And delivered to the door.

Your last line in the post above is confusing me a little,..You're not trying to mix bleach with your gutter cleaners are you? If you are stop,..mix gutter cleaners only with water.

And if you're talking about Roof Snot, eLemonator type house wash soaps,..

Start with,.and adjust to suit:

2.5 gallons water

2.5 gallons 12.5% SH

6 OZ of soap,..(whatever ou use)

This mix is for Downstreaming,..not directly applied.
