    ReKrete - Waterless Concrete Cleaner

If you have oil stained concrete that needs cleaning and if water reclamation is a hassle for you, I invite you to check out ReKrete and CAAPS. These environmentally friendly products are bio-engineered to effectively and safely remove petroleum stains from concrete. ReKrete is a fine granular powder that contains proprietary enzymes, designed to get deep within the pores of concrete to consume hydrocarbons. CAAPS is effective when used with pressure washers to clean floors, siding and more.

One 40 pound pail of ReKrete covers approximately 7000 to 8000 square feet of concrete and is economical at a cost of just $0.03 per square foot (based on 7000 sq ft. coverage). One 14 pound pail of CAAPS dilutes to make 55 to 110 gallons of cleaning solution.

ReKrete and CAAPS are unique products that eliminate the environmental challenges associated with cleaning oil stained concrete.

    ReKrete - Waterless Concrete Cleaner

    Ron,

Thanks for the reply. ReKrete has successfully been used anywhere oil is leaked onto concrete. These include parking lots, drive thru windows (banks and fast food), gasoline station service islands, highway toll plazas, vehicle repair facilities, industrial facilities, etc.

There are many opportunities for folks in the pressure washing business to use ReKrete to effectively and safely remove oil stains from deep within the pores of concrete without creating legal and environmental liabilities from water run off or incurring the cost of reclaiming the used water. It is an effective and environmentally sensitive solution that customers will appreciate once they know the service exists and is offered at a reasonable cost. It could be offered as an additional service to your existing customers and it might provide a unique service offering to win over new customers.

The owner of American ReKrete of Virginia got involved with the product because his family built a new Shell gasoline station and convenience store in Williamsburg, Virginia. He wanted a way to keep their new station looking new. They use ReKrete to keep the fuel island areas clean from oil and use the CAAPS product to clean the fuel pumps. CAAPS is really great on cleaning diesel fuel stains. We have banks using ReKrete to clean their drive thru islands and building maintenance companies using ReKrete and CAAPS to clean building concrete floors and walls.

We are working on and will by the end of the week offer small trial size containers of ReKrete and CAAPS for anyone wishing to test the products. Also, check out our picture gallery of before and after pictures at: http://www.americanrekreteva.com/picture_gallery.html.

If I can be of service, please contact me at walter@americanrekreteva.com.

    Walter,

How often do you recommend application? I've seen similar products in use before...it's an interesting concept, but I have concerns about the frequency of application from a sales perspective.

    Thanks,

    ReKrete - Waterless Concrete Cleaner

    Celeste,

The manufacturer generally recommends that for best results, the product should be reapplied in about a week following the initial application. Then the frequency of service would depend on the particular situation... higher traffic areas should be reapplied monthly. Low traffic areas less frequently.

Otherwise, the ReKrete product stays within the pores of the concrete to consume new oil that drops in between applications.

I hope that helps to answer your question. For more detailed application instructions, I invite you to take a look at: http://www.americanrekreteva.com/instructions.html

    Ron,

We're getting a lot of interest from all over and a lot of hits to our website. Most of our sales have been to end users (mostly banks and service stations) and so to me that is an indication that there is interest and a need for this type of product.

We still believe there are opportunities for pressure washers to offer a waterless concrete cleaner service as a new additional service that offers good results, cost savings to the pressure washer, and an environmentally safe alternative to traditional methods.

Several pressure washers have requested product samples and we are pleased to extend that offer to members of PWI. Members can drop me a line at walter@americanrekreteva.com and I'd be pleased to send them samples to try out.

Thanks for the question. Have a great week!

Sounds good but a lot of places the are perfect for this application dont pay that well. For example the Chick Fil a's around here pay 350 a month for two cleanings a month that 10k sq ft a month for 350. So this product would break even not to mention labor costs. Am I the only one who has this problem?

I had looked into this a while back and saw before and after pictures but they were the same standard ones like on the brochures. I would like to see some before and after pics of actual use--not the brochure pics. I would like to see what it looks like a week, two weeks, a month later to see what the bugs or enzymes are actually doing. I know a gray powder cover-up looks good but when the wind blows it away or the rain washes it away, I would like to see what it does or has actually done before I invest that kind of money into this. I had emailed several companies last year but nobody responded with pictures of it actually working....only with the brochure pics. I have seen the same pictures on the brochure over and over and over. This does not sell me at all so I know it will not sell the customer. I would like to see it working and what it has done by people...not a brochure. Thank You.

I forgot to mention. I had talked to quite a few companies about this chemical and they had some interest but wanted to see some before and after pictures....not the sales brochure. They are professional managers and have seen a lot of B.S. trying to be sold to them so they are on their guard. Some of the managers told me that they cannot pressure wash the gas pump bays because of the potential EPA violations. They expressed interest in the product but wanted to see proof. I had another company come down here with a product that is used in the refineries to clean up the oil and chemical spills. We tried it for a few hours on a fast food location but the product did not do anything more than the degreaser did. He told me it would take weeks for the oil to be eaten but the majority of the stain was the burned oil and transmission fluid and metals. He told me that the bugs would not eat the burned oil and metals. So we are back to square one. I do not see many cars and trucks leaking new clean oil only the dark or black stuff. I get a lot of calls almost every other day by companies selling their chemicals and wanting to make me a deal but I tell them that I have spent many thousands of dollars on different chemicals and after a while you have seen a lot and there seems to be nothing new..just different formulas of the basic ingredients. I tell them to send me a sample and if it is good then I will purchase but I cannot spend any more money on the word of a salesman who I do not know or have not met or done business with. It makes me feel like most of these chemical companies hire telemarketers to sell their stuff. I tell them all the same thing: If you invent a chemical to remove all or most of old oil stains from concrete without eating a layer of concrete in the process (Muriatic) then I know of over a hundred pressure washing professionals that might be interested in buying some. That would be a huge sale for the right company. I know the oil stains the concrete and you might get some of it out but over time some oil might whick back up to the surface so you might never get it all out but I am still hoping some chemist out there or a bug or enzyme company will make something that will clean it without waiting weeks or months.
