I need help pricing on full exterior washes. Flatwork, Awnings, Building wash, Drive thru. I have been asked to quote 3 Stores could lead to 169 Stores. What is a good per store price?

If you want to get the bid,go at a price that multiple locations will be profitable..We do many retail fast food chains and we get between $125.00 to $150.00.That price includes all sidewalks and drive thru lanes..

Building wash is always extra and only need to be done maybe quarterly. Also dumpster pads are extra, usually around $50.00 to $75.00 buck's.Once these locations are done the first time around and are cleaned real well, the following monthly or every 2 months service will only take you about an hour to service.

That will keep you right around $100.00 to $125.00 an hour, and honestly that is where you want to be at to stay productive..:D

Thank you. Intial will include Building wash, Sidewalks, Awnings, signs. PH is nasty all the way around, KFC has 200 LF of awning. PH is brick TB and KFC are Dryvit. I want to shoot for a decent intial and a fair reg maint. The FAcilities Manager told me they do not do regular cleanings they just call painters or contractors whenever they get bad. So I want the job but i don't want to give it away because he is going to be a hard regular maint sell. I don't want to price my self out of the job either....

So this is a multiple task bid...these are their largest stores and I imagine they chose these three for a baseline of the other 166 stores. If I am not careful i could be going full time in no time. Thank You Pressure Wash Gods!

Anyone have anymore advice and numbers???? Everytime I bid it I look at the number and say to myself no way will they pay. I have called the guy at corporate and emailed to try and ask more specifics he won't return call. Bad thing is is I want these stores!! I hope to get the hoods in the future

I cannot touch fast food maintenance cleaning for less than 175.00 to 225.00,,,,,,

That price is only good after initial cleaning is done and maintenance agreement has been sighed for minimum of once a month.

Most of my taco bells are 15 day agreements. (All concrete) Man hours 2.5

1. drive thru
2. sidewalks
3. dumpster

Mistakes

I have heard a lot of guys on other BBS say give discounts for multi units. I say bid the jobs to make money on each unit. I always just tell them this is the price per store and we are charging the right price. If you say you can give a discount then they think your charging more per individual unit.

Initial cleanings

Initial cleanings should range from 325.00 to 425.00 on large service agreements. Individual store should be charged more money. Giving discounts on multi units for initials is a good move. Don’t do this on maintenance prices. Individual stores can be a high as 1200.00 depending on how dirty it is.

Thanks Ron. I am in the ball park..these Puerto Rican bas%#$#'s shop for price only!!! It is the nature of living on an Island with 100% of everything imported and the natural tendency to bargain hunt.

If you have never done this type of work, see if the customer will let you demo one. Go clean one for free. That will give you a little more grasp on the time and chemicals it takes to complete a cleaning. It may be an out of pocket expense but not only will this help you with this bid but future bids as well. If you really want to win the bid on 169 stores and you are asking others what to charge you are headed down the wrong road. I don't know what type of equipment you have but someone that can get out of a maintenance cleaning in an hour may have much better equipment and much more experience than you. Not being a jerk, just don't get yourself into something without knowing exactly what it is going to take. It can hurt your business and kill any relationship with the customer when you realize you did not charge enough or your estimated time is way off! A little bit of loss on a demo doesn't hurt as much as a lot of loss and no profit if you don't have the experience to bid it properly!

Did you ever get the 169 ?

I would have never thought there were 169 of them in San Juan, Puerto Rico??

But then again I do them for one franchisee who owns 81 of them. I only do 34 now but working on getting them all.

I dont think he has that many in Puerto rico
