What do you do with your crack trash

Im just curious what others do with the beutifull things that come from the cracks of sidewalks, drive-thrus and such. This is from three months at a TB drive thru. just the drive thru. I am having a conflict with the trash in the parking lot. I push it out of the parking spaces and tell the manager to send someone out with the quicker picker uper.

I inform the customer before the job, I tell them there will be some debris to pick up after we are done. I would try to condense it down to a smaller pile.

I had customer even tell me that when the other guy was finish there wasn’t any trash. I tell them they didn’t clean it properly because theirs always going to be some debris.

PS if you gotta take five more mins to make them happy, what the heck!!!

I wont lie. It all depends on who I am working for. On my good account I am willing to go that extra mile to make them smile. On some of my other accounts I don't. I tell them they will have to send some one out to pick it up. Thats what I do. hope it helps

Dominic said it pretty well but some of my accounts I get there before the sweeper does so I use the blower first and blow it across the lot so it does not get wet.

Then I do my work and rinse off. I do fan it over to the other side also but if I can have to pick it up I do so, why I carry broom and dust pan with me also.

Hey it is that extra mile that gets my name out there as the company that cares!

I don't do a lot of flat work, but I still take care ofmy customers. So I always pick up any trash that occurs like that. I also squeegee windows, but that is just me. BTW, when I do flat work I charge a premium. I did a job one time of 200,000 ft at 8.5 cents a square foot. That is just the premium that i charge.

Hello Walter,

We carry a flat shovel on our trucks. The picture you show we would pick it up an put it in their dumpster. Most of our accounts are done monthly so we do not get as much debris.

Looks like your customer is Taco Bell. We stopped doing them because of lack of payment!

Crack trash

I dont leave my trash like in the picture. I do blow it to a pile and tell them to pick it up. I explained that I would be more than happy to pick it up at 60 dollars an hour or they can at 6 dollars an hour. I just wanted to hear what others do. I usually go the extra mile and squegee the windows and put nice smelly stuff in the ashtrays and garbage cans.
