I was thinking about it but then what are you really paying for? Good leads and some equipment I think. Nothing says his customers have to use me after I take over. Besides, 6 cleanings a week, 160 accounts, that means he does them every 6 months. Ill pass.

You need approx a mix of 120 accounts to keep a truck running. Meaning some at 30-60-90-120-180-360. If this has been in the buz for some time he has developed a name in the market-all in all you are buying a operation that is on going. You could say the same thing about any buz-even a hamburger stand.

I was speaking in general - not about this one company or price.

I was speaking in general tearms-along with a mix of accounts. Its just my opinion-in fact I even think it is one of Acklands books if I recall.

None of the numbers make any sense to me.

6 cleanings X 50 weeks = 300 cleanings. 300 cleanings/ 160 restaurants = just about 2 times per year. The best part, the dude is charging $440 per cleaning to gross about $11 G's per month. $11,000 / 25 restaurants ( 4 wks X 6= approx 25). If we charged average $440 per job, I'd be typing on this thing all day and nighttime too! Do you think $7,000 is some pretty heavy payroll. After all, 6 jobs per week - should average at most 4 hours per night or 24 hours a week. Pay 2 guys: $25/hr and 15/hr. (I am being generous) that's $40.00/hr X 24 = let's say $4000/ month. You still have $3000 to spend on chemicals, plastic and truck payments. I know plastic has gone up -but come on.
He is making a mistake leaving Atlanta - but maybe he has to.

Those are about the same numbers I was coming up with. The averages just don't add up. I'm in Atlanta, I do have one account I get $440 but its a chinee place with a 26 foot hood, 2 fans and a bazillion filters. I asked if I could use the squirrels (or were they rats) he had caged up in the back but he said those were tomorrows special.
