    Price Isn't Everything

    I Bid A Nice House In A Nice Neighborhood Last Week. I Met With The Homeowner And Told Him About Our Services And A Little About Myself And My Help. I Gave Him An Estimate Of $1,250.00 For House, Roof, And Drive. This Price Was A Little Agressive, But We Are Pretty Busy And It Would Probably Eat Up A Full Day. A Couple Days Later I Talked To A Friend (competitor) Of Mine Who Also Owns A Softwashing Business In Town, And We Were Talking About Bids We Had Done Lately. He Bid This Same House At $950, Telling Me He Was Getting Thin On Work. I Wrote It Off As Being Under Bid Since I Hadn't Heard From The Guy. Damned If He Didn't Call Today To Book It! Sometimes Price Isn't Everything.

    I haven't been that lucky I have lost 10k in bids in sept. due to lower bids. I may need to come down a little. I was thinking $99 roof cleanings(joking).

    I HAVE LOST A BUNCH ALSO, MANY TO MY BUDDY (CLOSET LOWBALLER). WE HAVE A GUY (GUYS) IN TOWN THAT WORK FOR NOTHING. ONE UNDER BID ME BY 4K ON A 9K COMPLEX. I KEEP MY PRICES UP AND WORK AS MUCH AS ANYBODY ELSE. KEEP YOUR PRICES UP AND SELL " YOU " TO THEM.

    Yep, I hear ya guys- I put in a bid @ $2,150 which was cheap on our end and got underbid by another company @ $700.

    I bid a hospital about 30-35 hours of work bid it for 2500 and someone did it for 900. its a joke. but thats life. no worries, I will hear from them soon.

    And on a birghter side, one of my suppression system accounts had their hood cleaned. It did not even qualify for a blow and go job. The filters were not done, the fan was not done, the duct was not done, the plenum was not done, the back splash was not done. the charge, $400.00. My minimum just went up. And I think the account is now our account. Thanks Pringle!
