Yea Mark I know I have a Landa jet wash. Thats the thing I like about it the gun on the side. I like that model you have because it does not have that high cone that Landa has. I think you would beable to get under benches with easy.

The difference between the cyclone and the water Jet. The same company (c-tech) makes them the major difference is that the water Jet uses the Dublin bearing witch costs about four times the money. Is it worth it? I couldn’t answer that question because I have not used the cyclone to know the difference. I can tell you that the Dublin has out performed the others I have tried and I don’t need to mention any names because many of these manufacturers have made great improvements since that time.

I will b ordering a couple of these cyclones and let you know if they are a solid piece of equipment. I do the largest manufacture in North America make them and that is a plus when you need customer service.

The photos show the rotary union that the cyclone doesn’t use. Doesn’t mean its better just a difference.

I wonder if Mark still has them on sale...

I'm surprised at how little the list price has changed in nine years.

I thnk its down from the original Price. 899 was list..anyone would sell one for around 599

The water jet was 1695 15 years ago....most dealers would sell them for 1000

Yup once again Ronnie is right on. I have the 98 Grainger book and the water Jet cost $1699 in there. Also back in around 97 I bought my first new Belt driven Mi-tm Powerwasher that was rated at 3.5gpm at 3000psi for $2100. Today u can buy that Powerwasher for around $1500 or an equivelant one for around $1000.

The internet has lowballed everything:sarcastic::sarcastic:

"Equivalent" is in the eye of the beholder. Buying a unit on price alone doesn't take into account some intangibles.

The majority of people that buy and use pressure washers need the service and support a qualified dealer offers when their machine has a problem. I'd caution anyone buying a new unit from an internet store to carefully check the terms of the warranty and call your local equipment dealer to see if they will work on it if you have a problem. They may not stock replacement parts for the unit that you might need immediately if you have an equipment failure. Down time gets expensive fast. You may find a bargain really isn't when it has a problem.

Good points Phillip. Some of the heavy stuff I buy I may buy it somewhat locally so I can get it serviced or get a loaner when it is getting fixed. That aside this is the age of the internet and if your a smart buyer you can get the best deals by surfing the net. I've bought new and used Power Washers on the net and I also stock pile similiar parts for each in case of breakdowns.

But your message is true and if your not handy or if you need the best customer service the best bet is to buy locally but at times you pay a steep price for that and at times .....its worth it for sure.
