Welcome New Members

Hi I'm Bruce Boches I am in Memphis Tn. Getting ready to start my 4th year. I do mostly residential work but have had a few commercial accounts over the years. It has been mostly a part time job I started to try and get out of the restaurant business. Unfortunately I can't seem to get the business to that full time income. This board has been a wealth of information for me over the years. It is nice to see people who truly care about helping others become successful. I will try to help contribute more now that I am a little more seasoned.

Newbie

Hello,

My name is Jim and I would like to use this email to introduce myself and verify that my "signature" is actually working. I own and operate Scrubbing Bubbles, a home exterior cleaning company here in Tampa, FL.

95% of my business is residential with the remainder, commercial. I am now trying to learn more about establishing an internet presence for myself since it seems that so many customers go online looking for information before they purchase anything.

I also just recently began offering my secret housewash, degreaser, etc. online so that other contractors can get the same results (and maybe testiomonials) that I do.

I'm here to hopefully make friends, learn to expand my business and networking capabilities and help out others when I can. Life is all about learning and moving forward, right?

So, if anyone has any questions, comments or suggestions concerning my website or business, by all means, I'm all ears.

Otherwise, good luck and much prosperity to all. :)

Hey Daniel , I live in Macon. I'll be glad to get with you sometime and see how things are going. Maybe even swap a few ideas that might help both of us.

Hello everyone, my name is Joseph Floyd and I am helping start up an new power washing company in Southeast GA. I will basically be free labor and the number 1 researcher in the beginning. I'm going to guess that those of you guys and girls that have been in the business for a while wish guys like me wouldn't cry about working for free in the beginning right?:D

The company is doing some Fleet Wash work currently and will retain those jobs for a source of steady cashflow. However moving forward, flatwork with washwater reclaim is an unaddressed market segment down here. I would gladly take any thoughts or advice in that area. I am a firm believer that "experience is the hardest teacher" and I would far rather learn from the experience of others rather than repeat their mistakes. I think that the low availability of training in this industry on the whole allows for to many unneccesary mistakes without my adding to the tally.

Hi, my name is vinny vaccaro and I have been watching this forum for a couple of weeks now and have gotten lots of useful professional information (thanks). I have been pressure washing mostly residential homes for about 7 years part time while attending and working through school. I have accumulated through the years and many sweaty days a 3000psi 3gpm cold water washer, 20hp 3200psi 8gpm hot water pressure washer, surface cleaner, and 500 gallon tank. However, I know I need a few upgrades in equipment to further succeed. I am a business marketing major enrolled in a entrepreneurial course at The University of Texas where I will graduate this semester. I plan on quieting all doubters in my class who think my business is a waste of time and frankly kicking some ***. Obviously, I am going to have a few novice questions about some areas of the pressure washing industry.

Please shoot me an email or message on where the appropriate place is to ask, or where I should post certain questions

Ron,
Gift? I'll take a freebie any day. The best gift I can get at this point is good advice though.
Thanks for the response. Hope to chat more with you from time to time. Your posts indicate you have a wealth of knowledge regarding flatwork.

New Member in New Jersey

Hi Guys,

I own a company based in Southern NewJersey. My Partner started the company about 10 years ago and did mainly residential work. The business was small and when we decided to go partners 2 years ago the goal was to take the business to a new level and include Commercial work. I believe that our success is directly related to hard work and the generous knowledge that is shared on this site and ones like it. I have never met Russ Spence, Ron Mussgrave and the many other business owners in this field but I must say that I respect what you guys do for our industry. I recently met Robert Hinderliter of Delco Systems along with many other respected members of our community at a round table in PA and was further impressed with how passionate these people are about maintaining industry standards and educating all owners for the benefit of the industry. This is a very unselfish group and I am very happy to be part of it.

Thanks,
John Greco

I will be starting up my company sometime in the spring and working mostly in the eastern part of Long Island like the hamptons ect. I am VERY new to the pressure wash thing but have read a couple of books, and i scour the message boards for any information i can use. I will be purchasing equiptment in a month or so and before i go out into the real world i will be practicing on a couple of neighbors and families homes, decks.....just to make sure i have a good idea on how the equipt works. Plus who knows, maybe i can get a couple of jobs from people passing by. Anyway i just wanted to give you guys a post to introduce myself and what stage i am in, and look foward to being a part of this community. I will try not to ask repetitve questions. One last thing. Of all the message boards i have found on powerwash, this is by far, HANDS down..the best site keep up the good work guys

I am new to the biz and want to thank Mike Vicars again of A+ in Myrtle Beach for his help and directing me to this board. I look forward to many nights of reading and learning...

New kid on the block

Hello everyone, I am Jim Williams and I operate a pest control company in Warren PA. While Warren is a nice area, it is rather rural, with limited opportunities.
I would like to build a roof cleaning business as a add-on for our existing customers and offer deck cleaning.
We have 6 months of Winter and usually plenty of rain days, so we have to make our money in the short spring and summer seasons.
I look forward to learning from you folks and will offer advice when I can.

Thanks in advance:)
