Post a pic of the building. Let's start there. There is no way that you can get a lift in there? I would consider looking at a lift and a x-jet combo to reach the height.

Again, it's tough to comment without seeing the actual job.

Swing stage will take you forever and you will loose money on the labor part. Your guys will aggressively tackle the swing stage at first but halfway thorough the 60+ times they need to move it they will be extremely tired to the extent that it will affect your labor cost. Just my opinion though!!

I will bid this job for a 120 boom for 1 month. Then get as much as the building as I can and roof. The problem is half of the building has parking garge underneath. I cant even get close due to the weight of the boom lift. I also look into to crane it but I talk to them and it is to far. Also I have to block a very busy part of the street on A1A due to how wide the 120 is. Swing it is the only way, after I boom it. I am giving 3 men 1day to break it down, 1 day to set it up? Does this sound right? Depending on how much I can get with the 120, I looking at least 48 moves with the swing stage. This could be over 3 months of work.

Scott..as long as you have the swing stage labor factored in right you should be okay.....get as much done with the boom and xjet

    Back in Business!

UnderPressure is back on the site. I have not been active for a while and never did post much. In the future, I will be here to learn and help when I can. I still consider myself a rookie roof expert. Last year we did 256 roofs. Averaged 32 restr/gas stations monthly and a few multi family properties. We're running (2) 8 gals (1) Hot water and a Zeta440 chem pump. Pulled by a dodge Ram Dually 07. We look the part, but need to stay busy. Looking to break our own records this year and continue. Recently added a website www.treatmyroof.com Check it out!

    New in Atlanta

My name is Dave, and I live in Kennesaw Ga. Which is not to far North of Atlanta. I'm 31 years old and have spent the last ten years in the bar and night club industry. I first picked up a wand two years ago, and helped a friend that has a pressure washing company during the summer. I bought a 24 hp honda hot water skid in March of this year. I spent this year doing jobs for friends and family. I also helped out my friend when he needed it, but between the drought, the economy, and taking care of my 4 year old daughter during the day. I didn't have the time to jump in head first. So I spent alot of time this year reading books and spending time on forums. Trying to gather as much information as possible. Now that I posses the ability to go into 2009 full steam ahead. I would like any information that you veterans can give, and hopefully in time be knowledgable enough to cantribute in conversation myself. I guess my first question would be. If you could go back and start over what would your order of progresion look like? Thank you and it is a pleasure to be a member of the PWI.
