Half moons in driveway

I posted this on another board, but no one really had any good answers so i will try it here too!

I got married this past September and moved in with my wife in her house. I have noticed that everytime it rains, there are these 4 arc half moons in the driveway...looks like white spray paint. They really are only visible when the concrete is wet. My father-in-law had them too on his driveway and I asked him if he knew what it was. He said he sure did! It was where they had put armor-all on the tires. I guess it is from the silcone in the armor-all that they sprayed on it. I tried putting some graffitti remover on it and it hasn't budged it. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove these stains? I can post picks if anyone needs them....

Hit the button too soon.

I never tried it on concrete but it is supposed to dissolve dried silicone on windows. Give it a try?

Here is 2 pics I took tonght just after the rain when the concrete is good and wet. Taken at night with a flash. When the concrete is completely dry, it is barely noticable.

Al, i will find out in the morning. I pretty sure acitone. finger nail polish remover will break it down. get a small bottle at walgreens and throw in a spray bottle.

It make stain or darken the concrete so you may want to test and area or maybe somewhere else.

Ya know.. there isn't anything we have't got out with wet sand blasting. My 2 cents. Dan Cosgrove

Could you just spray armorall on the rest of the driveway?

Found some new stuff that just came onto the market that I am going to try. I talked to the chemist that made it and he said to try this stuff he just made for resale for cleaning concrete for tough stains before staining. He said it will cut most silcones but by looking at the MSDS sheet, he didn't know for sure what actual kind of silicone they are using. I will try it and let you guys know how it comes out!
