I put never-seez on all my quick connects (especially between the sections of hose on the hose reel) and never have to bang them apart with a hammer any more. They stay functional! THANK THE LORD!!!

Spencer where can you get never-seez and how is it on o rings.

Hey Mike if your closing that much you need to raise your prices. :nanner: J/K

There up there now friend. :lmao: but I'm making sure EVERY effort is made toward a well communicated scope of work and a clean, professional job site being left behind. I basically walk into the business with this question to the owner:

"Have you ever considered having your ________________ cleaned before?" Fill in the blanks. It's been very effective for me.
Usually whatever I put in the blank is already dirty, oily, or greasy. Unique market in my area.

Another tip... Soap from bottom up.

I go ballistic when I see one of my guys soaping from the bottom up. The dirtiest part of a house, in my area anyway, are the eves and facia. Soap them twice and then soap the siding from the top down. Saves a lot of soap as it cascades down the siding. Different stokes.

man yall got some great ideas

Great idea Daniel!

Have you seen Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift? You sound like the white guy (main character) on there, lol!

Lucas Black...love his voice! lol

Great tip Daniel. I try and encourage guys to do that with some of their hose reels. A few Steel Eagles have a place to screw a QC plug on to hold the end of the hose.

I might sound like him but I have good faith I am better looking!!!!! :yikes:

BALL VALVES...WHAT A BEUTIFUL THING, HOWEVER

Seeing as how I was in the plumbing biz for nearly 20 years I should have known better....but I did'nt.

Walking across a gas station lot alone pushing my S.C. at 1 A.M. and BOOM looked back and there was my hose doing the F.U. dance between a couple of pump islands... yep a complete break away. Made it to the machine for shut down rather than wrestle hose down.

The point to all this is.. if your goona use a ball valve DO NOT GET IT FROM LOWES !!! Get a high pressure ball valve. I know I know... I can hear you now. What dingleberry does'nt know that?

Well I of all people should have but didn't

My 2 cents

LOL the FU dance :) That's a good way to put it.

Some of my favorite things, and tricks

Aluminum 5ft. Lances!! Much lighter than steel
Flow actuated unloaders!! IDK how we ever lived with out them If I was going to get whipped in the chest one more time, I think I might have quit.
Direct chemical delivery pumps!! Soft washing replaced pressure washing, and gave us more time on a job to perform a better service.

one of my favorites is the 4 sided bi level truck wash brush for gutters. We found them on ebay this year from a guy that sells lots of 6 and 12. They have bristles on the two sides that are usually bare. These things make whitening gutters and the fascia below them much easier. We use a 23 ft. pole.

Hey Ladies & Gents,

New Member here,

One Tip I have is to have a Spray-Truck.

The 2 trucks were great because they give you a 20' long sidewalk area to walk on while cleaning. Sometimes we would use 3 - 2x12 planks, then a 5/8" or 3/4" sheet of ply on top of the planks. You can clean so fast with the 4x8 foot work sections on each level. The front racks can come right off, the 2 pins welded to the top of the bumper and bolted in the top bolt.
The rear racks stay on all the time, the rear racks have about a dozen 2x12 planks across, then a sheet of rubber roofing membrane covers the planks. This kind of keeps the tools and stuff in the bed dry. All the pipe sections were pin'ed in and set-up and broke-down fast.

I realize you cannot use this kind of Rig on Union or certain job-sites, but for the most part you can get away with it in small towns. Not OSHA Approved...

Wow, that mobile scaffolding is intense. We have a van with "latter rack" with ply wood covering the entire length on top. We stand on it to get many wall mounted kitchen exhaust fans. But, I never considered building higher.
Have you ever needed to extend the legs to the ground to stop the suspension from rocking?

Ha, the Truck was solid as a rock. I installed brand new 1 ton rear leaf springs and 1 ton coils in the front. You get a little sway if you stand out on the 4 foot outriggers, and with a third section high it looks scary but it's safe because we would always brace it to the building somehow. The nice thing about it is you can set it up in about 20 minutes, and knock out some work. As long as the road was level around the building it was great. A few times we cleaned on un-even grass or construction sites we just had to be careful. It's not that heavy, and it's so strong when assembled. I have 2"x3" "Cleat" blocks nailed on the bottom of the 2x12 / 8 foot wooden planks that "Lock" it in place on both sides, so the planks would not slide off. I would never hire a guy that was afraid of heights and if he could not carry and set-up a 32' type I Ladder by himself (82 lbs.)

Of the trucks lifetime we never had an accident.
