I just posted my first video on youtube. Aluminum Wheel Cleaning in Texas

It was some badly stained aluminum wheels, not the regular road grime and axle grease and had to 2-step the wheels many times to get them clean.

I did not put music on the video and typed a lot for the description but felt it would help explain the process and the situation.

The aluminum wheels cleaned up nice on these trucks I washed here in Texas, it is a great fleet that is washed every 2 weeks and they get dirty fast on these South Texas Roads. Fleet washing is needed as these trucks get dirty fast and they are giving out more fines for trucks that are dirty and have lights and license plates covered with dirt.

Not sure how to embed the video here, would like to know but don't know how to do it. If someone can tell me how I will embed it.

Hope you guys like it.

Thanks.

I liked it... was a little long... and I might have put your logo in at the beginning and the end.

There's a little icon that looks like this video.png you click and it asks for the video URL or you can just type [VIDE0]... URL ...[/VIDE0] (clicking is easier).

Now if you want to know a better way to clean wheels ............ what am I saying?? You did an AWESOME job there. Fantastic.

Thanks for the info Derrel, that helps a lot, I will try to embed the video now to try it out.

If you plan on using this for a promotional piece, I can spruce it up a bit (I'm a nerd... shhhh). Just ask Eric at Roof Cleaning by A&E.

I have about 7 other videos I am almost done with, what can you do to them to spruce them up a bit? I am new to all of this.

Thanks.

Here I go, trying to embed the aluminum wheel cleaning video.

Cool!

Thanks Derrel.

Thanks again Derrel.

The question really is... what would you like done to spruce them up? Below is an example I did for Eric. It was both a watermark and stabilization example.

I'll need the raw video to start with. I can do all sorts of editing and effects.

Good job Chris enjoyed the video. I always heard people talk about the two step process but I didn't know what they meant. I didn't know that meant using two different chemicals then rinsing. Is that only wheels that you do that way or is the rest of a fleet washing done the same? I also noticed that there was no dwell time what is the reason for that? Again great job and I would call it the Texas Two Step lol.

Thanks Phil.

I wash fleets of trucks the same way, some I have to brush as per the customer's request, just depends on the account and what they want.

Most of the time you don't need any dwell but on the really bad stains I give them 10 to maybe 20 or so seconds before the 2nd application chemical and then rinse.

These aluminum wheels had a very bad stain on them, I have some videos that I am almost finished where the wheel was done in under a minute and I usually clean aluminum wheels that fast or faster using the 2 step system.

The reaction happens fast most of the time (when using good cleaning chemicals) so you can clean fast but sometimes you need a little bit of dwell for the really bad wheels or you can just 2 step clean them several times which then you are using more chemical than time, either way, they will end up clean and looking great.

Thanks again.
