Garage cleaning.

I am going for a personal record in environmental parking structure cleaning. It seems my efforts in educating operators at parking garage and structure conferences, as well as parking garage cleaning articles is paying off in the Phoenix area. By the end of the month, I will have cleaned about 2.5 million sq. Ft. Of parking structures, and will only have a million feet to do next month. And the best part is that I am one of the more expensive contractors in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa area.
I guess garage owners like us because we manifest waste, provide an established environmental program, and are able to quickly and efficiently clean a live garage, which means they do not totally have to close a garage prior to service.

I wonder what the average sq ft rate is nation wide for reclaim on garages. We had a clown around here last year bought some nice equipment, advertised $.20+ a sq ft, couldnt get a single job, reduced his rates and reduced, reduced & reduced he finally got a couple jobs at $.04 a sq ft,(lower than anyone in the area, reclaim or not) took him forever to complete the jobs. I havent seen him around this year. $.20 down to $.04 and still can't get work

Whats an average rate I wonder for garage cleaning with reclaim

That sounds like Gas Stations around here, They don't want to give you the work for 4 cents a sq ft, they want you to pay them for cleaning all their OIL UP.

I have yet to see any reclaim at any gas stations or garages here in this town.

It really depends on the area, what the cost of living is, and experience level. For instance, the cost of living in San Francisco is twice what the cost of living is in Phoenix, so it does not make sense to charge the same rate. I have seen pricing as low as a penny and a half. Yes, it is nuts to do it for that little, but some people are still using it for beer money, or just to keep a crew busy waiting for a regular account that is actually profitable.
I don't get people sometimes.

Thats who I compete against they go as low as 1.5 cents. They are part of some of the orgs and should know about how to price jobs. Some of the bigger companies dont care about price they just want to get the job. just wait until fl**w*** gets into garage cleaning they will be doing it for free or paying to do it.

Scott That's truly great ! I'm proud to have another fine quality proffessional working in my same area.

Its great to know that if I need some help or don't want to fool around I can call a pro like Scott.

Its great outside right now to be working in the pressure washing business. I personally don't like Garage Cleaning. I love Shopping centers cleaning, cleaning retail strip is what I love to do.

Why is this a surprise?

This is the open market at it's best. I can see Democrats complaining about this because they want the government to control everything. But complaints about the open market from Republicans too???????

If someone can do a job that is satisfactory to the customer for .0000000000001 how is that doing a disservice to the industry? (Especially in this economy) If someone has found a satisfactory way to do it good for them! Obviously they've invested the time and effort into streamlining the process.

If they can't do a satisfactory job they will not only lose the account, but they will have just justified paying higher prices!

I just don't understand where the concept of faster, better service at a fair price has gone.

A national co at the Atlanta roundtable said they charge 2 to 3 cents without reclaim and 5 with. I believe the figures, I personally will never clean for anyless than 8

I was thinking about this and some other things I have heard. There are a lot of things that can be accomplished if you clean a garage in a sustainable manner. Not only is less water used in the cleaning process, which is really important in Arizona, California and Nevada, but it is possible to clean a garage in a far more efficient manner, thus making the service more cost efficient.

I have never partnered up with any projects. I like to have my own crews perform the work, because I will happily admit I am a control freak about my business. It usually takes me six months or so to get new employees to trust me, but when they finally do, I can be certain they will follow instructions perfectly.

Amen to that, I have a bad habit of coming accross as a bit of a butt hole but I am such a nice guy!:fie:

I am really good at making them feel bad for disappointing me. It works with my kids, too.

Nope it is my nice smile, and pearly whites. Being from bam a, you might not realize that most people have their teeth here.
