I'll be doing a job on Friday and was wondering how .50 /linear ft for soffit and facia sounds (no roof or siding). It's roughly 280'. I'm building my own quoting formulas and am looking for a 'sweet spot' so to speak (not too cheap and not over priced).

Sell the House wash @ $100.00 per 1000 sq ft. Tell them that is the better bargain and it includes everything from the roof line down.

When you wash the soffit. .the dirt and bugs are going to go somewhere. .not dissappear. .so then your rinsing the walls. .then the windows. .then you gotta wash the walkways off. .I hate spot cleaning. ..its people trying to save a buck with unrealistic expectations. .do like nick said..your gonna end up washing the house any way. Those are good florida numbers easily attainable...and on a side note. .if you're juicing soap on the top only your gonna have "clean" streaks running down the wall...because that soap is going to drip down the wall and evaporate water at the same time..making it more concentrated the lower it gets..those runs will look terrible. .thats why you soap from the bottom to the top. Hope this helps

Nick and Nicholas hit the nail on the head!

I hate spot cleaning type requests - just won't do them, learned the hard way after one job a few years back... never again!

I agree....when you spot clean a house it looks like you spot cleaned it.

We always price it the same as a house wash for the reasons stated above. We tell them we can't do the soffits without washing the house because we will have to do it anyway.

Wow! And I thought I was the only one who gets asked to just wash the soffits. I usualy tell them that its like asking me to do the dishes in the dishwasher but please don't get the blue cup wet. They normally get it at that point and we wash the whole house.

Sir please just wash the top left corner of my car please.
Just wash the drivers side. I never see the passenger side.

I have a neighbor that I do a house cleaning for every year. This year he said the house still looks good how much for just the concrete? The price was only $75.00 less than the the whole house and concrete....... I'm doing it all next week.

Before I started the job yesterday, I informed the owner that by just doing the facia and soffits there may be 'clean streaks' running down the side of the house and for a modest bump in the quote I would go ahead and do it for him. He said "that's OK, I can reach the rest of it."

20 minutes into the job he came and told me to go ahead do it all. WOOHOOOO!
