If you don't know of them ( www.overnightprints.com ) they do a real good job for cheap. I got 5000 one sided full color gloss 8 1/2 x 11 flyers for $300. They are offering a 10% discount for now through Saturday. Enter the code "SAVEINFALL". Might be worth a check if you're planning on any...

    When do you start antifreezing?

Hit 37 degrees last night. Are you guys waiting 'til actual freezing is forecast? Is there any margin to either side of freezing where you should start pumping antifreeze, or just the 32 degree bench mark?

Anybody try using WVO in their burner?

Would make sense. Pick some up free from some restaurants as your washing them. Filter it well during transfer and burn away. Diesel engines are running on it, can our burners?

Help me put together a spinner

Hi all, Looking for reccommendations on equipment and vendors. What I have in mind is a vacuum recovery floor spinner sized appropriately for a 4000 psi 8gpm machine. Tips for both outside flat work and interior floors such as tile. A second gun at the handle for edging/gum work, and chemical...

    Caustic to remove coating?

One of my builder customers has me removing a light sealant from their garage door landing strips. The sealant softens in the heat and causes the door to stick to the concrete. This sealer is merely to protect the concrete during construction. It serves no cosmetic purpose. Lacquer thinner...

    Chemicals on coated concrete

What is safe to use? I've got a restaurant entry and to-go entry to do. It's a colored coating with a little more substance and texture (almost seems slightly cementitious) than a painted on coating. The side entry is also the employees' entrance/exit and has a fair amount of grease. I can...

Anything I should add to my chem shopping list?

I'm doing a run down to Vegas this afternoon for some Trader Joe's shopping. Going to hit the chem supplier also to get some caustic. Anything else y'all would recommend getting to try. I'm mostly going to be doing flatwork, though might dabble in some houses and retaining walls. We have a...

First job done, need some newbie advice

My first restaurant flatwork job was done a couple days ago, and I'm less than thrilled with the results. The work hadn't been done for at least the last ten years. A grease pit coffee shop type of place too. LOTS of old gum on the walks. It was bad. I turned down the pressure and melted...

    Gutter clean out

With fall coming right up, I thought this would be my start so I could build some cash for the rest of my equipment. My plan is to focus on single story tract neighborhoods in the area so I can bang them out in 1/2 an hour each. I will have one guy suck out the debris first with my vacuum...

My trailer got delivered! Pics of setup

Got my trailer at the end of last week. Don't laugh, it's a Northstar. I'm actually quite impressed with it for a starting unit. You'll also see pics of my truck and vacuum I use for my current clean-up work. As soon as I can get a little cash flow generated from the washer, I will add a...

    Who's running CDL?

Been seeing a lot of nice (and heavy) trailer setups around here. Utah (and some other states I've researched) mandate a CDL for any trailer over 10k GVW. How many of you are carrying one or having your operators carry one? How did it affect your insurance rates (commercially and...

    A quick hello

New here. Been running my construction clean up company for four years now. Running a 24 horse vacuum to accomplish the task. With the slow down in construction, adding pressure washing seems a logical step. Going to focus on commercial and industrial work so it can be accomplished during a...
