2 Tank and feed questions

Setting up trailer still. LOL
2 quick questions before moving forward.

1. Setting up 425 gallon tank with a 1 1/2 inch bulk head to 1 inch double feed to 9 gpm Allison pump. Will this feed enough water?

2. Any benefit to laying 1 or 2 inch thick pressure treated boards on the floor of my enclosed trailer to be placed under my 425 gallon round water tank?

Thanks in advance fellas!
Glad everyone here is helpful and VERY NICE!

I would run 1 inch hoses into both sides of the pump. 8 gpm and up always have 2 input hoses.
This means a Tee off of a 1 1/2 pipe or 2 separate 1 inch lines off of the tank with bulk head adapters.

Tandem 5200 lbs

Good, you know how many guys think tandem 3500 lbs should be fine.....

I have 3 275g totes in my small truck, 1 1/2 inch line connects all three, line runs to the 1 inch cat filter, then tee's off to dual feed the 10 gpm pump. Bypass goes back to one of the tanks, 800 hours ish not a single problem.

Big truck, one tank, 2 inch tee's off to 2 separate 1 inch lines. Each line has it's own filter and one tee's off to dual feed a ts2021 5.6, and the other 1 inch line dual feeds a legacy 10 gpm pump. That setup I have been running for years

Tandem 5200 lbs

Yup, I thought 3500lbs axles were enough. Nope breaking leaf springs every 6 months carrying 525 gallon water tank on Maine roads. Under my tank I have 2"X6" pieces of PT to help, one lift the tank to allow for easier insulation of plumbing and two help make sure the weight is spread out. My new trailer, 5000lbs axles, will be set up in similar fashion. Hope this helps!

A little off topic, but if there's no marking on the axle itself, is it as simple as 6 lug means the step up to 5k lb axles? Wondering for when the time comes for me to upgrade, thanks in advance for any help.

The way I understand it is the to take the max payload and divide by number of axles and that is load capacity of each axle. I think. I was told by my local trailer retailer that most tandem axle trailers are typically 3500 lbs axles. I paid extra to upgrade to 5K axles and switched from leaf springs to torsion suspension to eliminate the extra moving parts. Trailer I think rides higher off the ground but it might be because I went full aluminum.

This is a photo of my new trailer. Still waiting on spray foam and lettering then transfer equipment and get back to work. Hope this helps

Yes I only learned to upgrade my suspension from reading post on this forum. Extra money but def needed I'm sure.

I guess I was concerned with the 3/4" floor boards on the trailer with impending weight. So I figured putting additional boards underneath could help and wondered if there was any other benefit.

As for the tank feed I am planning on this set it up > "Dual feed with a T fitting" 1 1/2" Bulk head to 1" hose to filter to "T" to 2 feeds of 3/4" hose

Here are some pictures of the trailer so far
