$600.00 hotel wash

cajun cleanin

I bid a hotel last week, included the canopy at the check in,and the pool was surrounded by a brick fence with columns.Building was 3 storys all interior rooms which means it was 60 feet wide, all stucco, price to do everything was $1200 another $200 to do the sidewalks and under canopy.I thinking this is a sure thing this is cheap. This is a prep for paint job so its not a rinse lather repeat type of deal.

Guy called me and said it went for $600.00 all of it.

How can you clean a 10,000 sq ft building, pool surround, canopy and all the sidewalks for that.I need somebody to enlighten me.This is a major hotel chain not some mom and pop shop.

The problem is that most big chain stores, like best westerns, are individually owned and they're only concern is bottom dollar. Not quality work. Damn, $600. I cleaned the front of a ford dealership for $600 and was kicking myself.

I just got the contract to clean the roof of an econolodge w/ a tile roof. My price was $4k and his maintenance guy was going to pressure wash it for $2k. We finally agreed and im gonna do it for $3k. But this guy owns 5 hotels, and was going to settle for his guy pressure washing it over 2 weeks, to save a grand. Unbelievable.

Hey Scott, I see you got your little guy colorized. Did you ever get your truck lettered?

Hey Adam. We are still working on getting it done. We liked the ones you did, but just couldnt pinpoint why they wouldnt work for us. I really appreciate your time on them! They def. gave us a good idea of what we wanted. We are now looking at a full wrap. We found a company that does them for pretty inexpensively, but I want to see some examples of their work before I use them. I would rather go with expensive, nice stickers rather than cheap crappy wraps.

That bid we did totaled $78,000 including materials and taxes. Alot lower than what we thought, so we were quite suprised.

Scott . . . no problem. Everyone's taste is different and what works for one person might not for another. I definitely don't take any offense that you didn't go with my stuff.

If you do get the wrap send me some pictures and let me know what it cost. I had looked into a wrap initially, but to get the truck done I was presented with prices that made my eyes bleed.

$78,000 is a lot lower than what I thought the bid would be. I hope you get it as that could be a wonderful opportunity for you and your wife. 41 properties, right?
