Aluminum Siding Stains

Bob,
You can play with all kinds of solutions, but the best brick
cleaning products that I have used are Prosoco (at www.prosoco.com) and Diedrich (at www.diedrich.com).
They most likely have a distributor and rep. in your area
that will work with you. I have foud my Prosoco sales source
here in Cincinnati to be very helpful. He'll even come to a job
site if I have a problem we can't take care of any other way.

Sorry, www.Diedrich.com is a coffee site. I was trying to go from memory when I gave you URL. Coffee will remove paint from some surfaces (don't ask how I know ...too many years in engineering). The corect address is www.DiedrichTechnologies.com Some may disagree, but to me working with acid detergents is no more dangerous than working with concentrated clorox. The key is to be CAREFUL when using any cleaning solution and follow the directions provided by the manufacturer. Happy sailing.

Bob,
I just had another thought on your problem: If the run-off is chalk residue from the aluminum siding, a lot of times just plain P/W at about 1500 PSI will remove it. If not then you may want to try the detergent that you use on a regular basis, before spending the money on Prosoco 600 Detergent.
I always carry different solutions on my truck because you never know what you come up against. I have also developed a cross reference (spread sheet) of stain types to solutions.
Most times (if it's a smaller area of stain) I start out with the simplest method (KISS) and try nothing but P/W starting with low pressure then increase pressure. When it's a larger area
of stain or if I short on time, then I go for the heavy stuff.

Regards,

Thanks for the info. Paul. I will visit the links you mentioned, ( Maybe the Coffee link too, I go through alot of that stuff).
