If you are the owner of a pressure washing business in the state of Ga. I ask that you consider writing the governors office concernng the future of your business and our industry in the state of Ga.Our voices need to be heard if we want to continue feed our families.
With the lastest round of water usage restriction you may be forced to shut your business down while industry and bigger businesses are allowed to continue to operate as usual.
Millions of gallons of water used by industry and big business are going unchecked daily and have been since water restrictions were put in place.Even under new state guidelines industry and big business aren't being forced to slow water usage although it being considered.

We had a similar exsperience a few years back. I dont think it was as severe as G.A. is right now, but they did try to stop us from working.Alot of companies got together and showed up at the local government center and put up a big stink.

It took some convincing, that our kids get hungry and our bills need to be paid also. I think the restrictions lasted a few days, and then were lifted for the P/W companies that were a full time company.

I remember when they would not let us water the lawns, so at the end of the night i would keep my 600 gal water tank full and bring it home. I would then set up my wands to point in an upward direction over my lawn and start up the (2) 8 gpm machines and wella 16 gpm of rain over my house.

I was wondering when someone over there would step up , I am worried about the good folks over there like you Scott , I am sure it is a lot of pressure on you as well , we are right behind you on the scale but ours is not near as bad

Good idea Scott. I'll send a note. What many people don't realize is that a professional power washer will use much less water to clean a home, driveway, commercial building, etc. than a homeowner or maintenance guy will. If the state wants to save water they should only let full time licensed power washing companies operate during the water crunch.

gettingt ready to hit virginia tonight after the city has their meeting at 6:30

I just saw on the local news, Paulding County has banned ALL outdoor water use business included. The only exceptions are for business that recycle water. I would imagine that there is a minimal percentage that you would have to be recycling to get the exemption.

I was thinking of this very subject tonight while working, and thankful to have found this. I am in Columbus, and the restrictions have not gotten that tight yet, but tomorrow isnt here either.
