Cedar Shake

Residential and Commercial Pressure Washing Specia
I am getting ready to clean an asphalt shingle roof. Very dirty but we've done it many times. My question is the house has cedar shake siding and it is also very dirty and the customer is also having the siding cleaned and stained. We have nothing to do with the siding just the roof.

Now for my question....Will the roof mix affect the Cedar Shake Siding so much that it will give the people doing the siding trouble when they go to clean the house and stain it. There is no way to prevent getting the roof mix all over the siding without masking off the whole house. There will be larger areas sprayed with roof mix. Not too late to walk away from the job. The customer knows I have concerns and I am meeting with the staining people Monday. I just would like some other opinions.

Thank you

You could pre wet the shakes to prevent the bleach from leaving the shakes spotted. You could also find out what they are planning to use to clean the shakes they might be using bleach also so it wouldn't matter? They are re staining the shakes so I don't see a problem to what you are doing would hurt it.

They are going to have to clean the whole house anyway so as long as they can get it as clean as you do everything should be ok.
