Cold Weather And Wind Ain't Helping!

Apple Roof Cleaning

Roof Cleaning Instructor
This has been a winter to remember here in Tampa.
I moved here in 1971, never do I remember this bad a winter?
Cold and wind are a roof cleaners enemy.
We are backed UP with huge tile roofs at the moment that I refuse to do, until it warms up.
WHY ?
Because it takes way tooo much chemical when it is cold and windy.
Fortunately, many of our customers are returning customers, and will wait.
But many are not so patient!
They have a tendancy to go shopping, and then you have to spend another hour on the phone re selling them again!
It Sucks :banghead:
i HOPE this is the last of this bad weather :groucho:

we have some roof here thaa need to get done too. We just have to pray for a warm up

i blame it all on global warming lol

Same here. They were calling for snow today and into tomorrow, so I put the plow back on my truck. Still haven't seen the first flake.

I've got 2 large commercial jobs I'd like to get done before the spring rush, but the weather just isn't cooperating.

The promlem I had Saturday is the roof I cleaned still looked like it had shadows on it. The weather has been low to mid 40's. Daytime. No good time to go back. So when they closed at 5:00 I was there with a 50/50 mix, waited and rinsed. We will see.

I have had to rearrange my schedule at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks because of Roof Cleaning jobs that we could not get done. I Had to do it again today because of cold windy conditions. Fortunately I have other Pressure Washing work to do. Today we Cleaned Sidewalks for an HOA that was scheduled for next week. It was cold and windy but concrete Cleaning is still good even in the cold. We have 2 big Tile Roofs and concrete to do tomorrow and I'm hoping it warms up like they say it is supposed to or I'm gonna be pushing those off too.

BTW---Chris,,, Thanks for the referal up in Palm Harbor. We are Cleaning his Roof on Monday afernoon. (If the weather holds out)

We expect it so it's no surprise up here. We figure mid March at the earliest for any roof jobs. I'm sure it puts a bind on those that assume they will be able to work year round. Thank goodness we can PW above 32.

My riding friends are heading to Daytona tomorrow. I'm not going unless it's supposed to be in the 70's and sunny down there. And it's not.

It's going down into the 30's tonite, very cold tomorrow, we still have lots of flat work to do but the roofs are on hold. This has got to be some kind of record cold spell for the sunshine state.

No wind and a high of 60 for tomorrow and sunny all day. We are gonna start a little later than usual. I'm figuring by 11:00am-12:00pm the Roof temps should be warm enough. I'm gonna give it a shot.
