Death penalty for or against

Your gov haulted the process until fixed. they said minor problem, everyone can make mistakes.

I'm certain the next one will go smooth.

I'm not certain for capital punishment. when you kill one inocent guy its kinda messed up.

I was curious on what you guys think. IMHO when you take someones life the rules change.
When you, or anyone else can assure me you will never take the life of an innocent man yes.
Until then, no.
How many people have we seen actually on death row who were framed by overzealous Cop's and Prosecutors ?

I have a feeling this thread is gonna take off Mel .....
Especially after the botched execution.

Chris I read this yesterday. It actually bothered me. People make mistakes I don't think it is cruel and unusual punishment because they missed his vein. The outcome was the same and I am sure the person he killed in cold blood and his family suffered much more than he did.

There is a serious question as to IF he was the one who actually pulled the trigger in the robbery!

One guy snitched, and got life in return for his testimony against his partners.
There were three of them!

Amnesty International even has notes from the Prosecutor questioning his actual guilt in the Murder.

There is no doubt he robbed someone, and I ain't saying he is a good guy either.

But, if any question remains about the actual murder ....

The Death Penalty is supposed to be a deterrent to the murder rate, yet since it's inception, the murder rate has risen instead.

America has more citizens per capita imprisioned then any country in the civilized world!

Yet, our crime rate contines to rise ?

Has the murder rate, the conviction rate, the execution rate, and the population of the United States increased proportionately?

Well, what do you know Grant, a quick Google search reveals I am WRONG, LOL

Actually, the Crime rate is dropping my search reveals because violent REPEAT criminals are being locked up.

Of course, Tampa is a VERY high crime city, and one could never tell living here.

my take is this ....... the guy took someones life ,i wonder how they felt just before their last breath ?????? hummmmmm ,what if that person 27 years ago was your son or daughter ?????? sorry he felt so much pain but what about the victem and their family ????? when we break the law we know the consequenses !!!!!! he delt his own hand and recieved his judgement !!!!

God works in mysterious ways sometimes ...... eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth
