Faxing work sheets

LISTEN UP ALL as I want to explain how this system is suppose to work.

This is how it works and please follow it as I will not be faxing to all who ask when the next round of work sheets comes out which is soon.

The first person on the list gets a fax from Ron, suppose to be me but it did not come to me since I had a phone line problem.

I in turn fax to the next person who ask gets it from me, he or she in turn sends it to the next and so on down the line.

That way you only have to send it to one person no matter where they live.

If you have any questions as to how it works just ask but I truly feel all understand it goes down the line.

I have faxed many of you copies of the work sheet and although it was not set up to work that way I gladly did it so all could follow and grow in business.

Quality of the fax

Great idea guys, but have you conscidered how much the quality of the fax will decrease with each repeated fax. I don't think it will make it much past the 3rd generation. Maybe you should put it in a digital format and email to one another.

Good Luck

The reason for faxing is it can verify the legitamacy of the contractor. Also it tells you where they are really located. Not that location really matters , its just nice to know the guy is for real. keep in mind they need to recreate the form. customize it to there needs. \

Thanks Jon,

I just received the fax of the work sheet from John Browne and cannot read most of it because it has been fax to many times. Hope this helps.

P.S. If someone can fax me a copy, it would greatly be appreciated. My fax # is 480-368-1702. Thank you.

Why Just a Fax

I dont think a contractor that ownes a fax machine is any more/less legitimate than one that doesn't. Some either cant afford one or just dont feel the need for one. Those that dont have a fax machine shouldn't be left out of the loop of info in my opinion. It would also be easier to recreate the form from e-mail.

Just my 2 cents.

I guess it depends on the type of fax machine you have, if your machine is using the carbon roll type yes it greatly decreases the printing.

If you have the newer inkjet type it does not change at all, just like printing.

I understand many don't have a fax machine but a fax/modem and that also can decrease things.

I also understand not all can run out and spend $500 for a fax machine/printer/copier that can fax in both color and black and white.

It would be up to Ron to make any major change as to how all of us recieve this information.

You may be able to fax it to a local office supply store, and just go and pick it up. At least you will have a copy. Look in the phone book, Many places offer this service

Tom Zahlman I don't mean to say and hopefully it did not come out sounding like if you don't own a fax your not ligit, far from it, when I first started I did not own one either.

I suppose this could be copied and mailed by USPS also as an alternative.

JON ,

I JUST FAX YOU A FORM , I USE FOR BIDDING, I JUST SAVE THE LETTER HEAD EACH TIME ON THE COMPUTER AND CHANGE AS NEEDED, MAYBE THIS CAN HELP OTHER.

OKAY, YOU GUYS WITHOUT A FAX WHAT DOSE IT COST YOU TO DRIVE 40 OR 50 MILES TO TURN IN A BID?

MY GUSS IS 2 TO 3 HRS PLUS FUEL!

MY FAX RUNS ABOUT $25 A MO. A VERY VALUEABLE TOOL, AND IF YOUR NOT LIKE JON WHO LIKES TO TALK FACE TO FACE , THIS CAN HELP YOU GET THE JOB, I MYSELF LIKE TALKING TO THEM ON THE PHONE AND GETTING THE JOB! BUT I GET THE JOB FACE TO FACE AS WELL!;)

Why do I like face to face, well simply because I hate phones, why, because I am 65% deaf and cannot always hear everything said.

Face to face I miss very little, until the person turns around or even sideways, then I miss it all!!

Ah it does have advantages too:)

Either way doesnt matter to me but as far as faxing a bid, I wouldnt bother myself, now a days I Email my client the bid. That way i know it goes to the right person. So I dont have a fax and dont plan on getting one. :)
