Ron, Sounds like a great plan. I had a restaurant mgr in Destin, FL ask me the other day if I did hoods as I was trying to sell my pressure cleaning services to him. I told him I didn't do hoods and could not recommend anyone.

great idea!
I let a job lead go to far and could not get over in their time frame and she was upset about it.
It was a deck job in Hamton, Ga.
I posted to see if anyone the area wanted the lead...no takers.
I still would like to find someone for her

Ron, I think that is a great idea. You were speaking of locally as well. I agree. Just yesterday, we did a large custom home for a client and they were also in dire need of some roof cleaning. However, it's not an area we specialize in. We directed them to a business here in our area that does. These guys don't power wash, but do perform roof cleaning. It's a nice fit for us here locally. The roof cleaning company scheduled their job for next week, (they called and thanked us). Ron, is right. This can surely help everyone out. We've been referred many times by other folks and businesses...and we've always done the same in return. We even assisted someone in buying a home through one of our real estate companies we do work for. Referrals are a great tool that often times get over-looked.

Thanks again Ron,
Steve

I believe helping others is a good concept. That is the way to go. We however have no one to refer in PWing. This would only work if you work close and know each others work. I would hope no one would refer us for a job, based on our name. I don't have qualified PWing people to refer locally. In our painting business, we do refer. Of course they are local contractors who we are affiliated with in the PDCA. We know each others work and personally. This is what works. Being a member of an organization will get you this power. Dealing with the contractor across town is possible. This is something you need to put your good business name onto. Having a list of National PWing contractors only gives me a name to put out. If someone would ask for a name from another state, I would give them a name, but also let them know we have no affiliation with them and don't know their work. I enjoy this effort from the PDCA as we have met many others and spoke about our businesses many times. We know something about each others businesses and know what kind of business they run. Does this help? Thank You.

I think this is a great idea. I have tried to do this with another PW company around my area. I know I have turned leads down that I could not do. It would be great to know other company's that i can refer. Al if you want we may need to get together and talk soon I am real close to Hampton.

give me a call tomorow and I will give you the infor, she is ticked at me, but maybe I can make things right

I've been using a network of contractors I've met over the years and it's worked out really well for everyone. It's great to know that no matter where someone needs a pressure washer I can almost always refer them to someone. There are quite a few states that have created local networks and they are thriving!

I've got a lot of ideas that I'm working on putting into motion in the near future and I believe that everyone will be able to benefit from them. I'm also planning on tying in all of the different orgs and PW networks too if they are truly interested in working together. Theres been too much BS and negativity in this industry and it's time we all worked together to make something better. If we don't do something to work together this industry will slowly degrade until it's so saturated with hacks that many existing companies will suffer and die.

The economy isn't getting any better and the price of gas is going up every day. Things aren't going to get easier for the new guys and they will start cutting their prices even more, to get work. Consumers may listen to reason and not hire them at first, but if the economy doesn't turn around they wont care if their house or deck is clean. If they do they will start doing their own or start price shopping.

Great post Henry, The industry should be alot further. I think this time it will happen.

Making money and cleaning stuff one day at a time.

I think its a good idea, I had a roof est in Sun City which is like 80miles to far i gave the guy chris's #.. I'd rather someone be working then just letting leads go to waste
Kasey, anytime you have something in ruskin, bradenton, sarassota or even sun city and you don't want it let me know. I go out to these places on an almost regular basis. Not trying to step on any toes if you already have someone. Just in case you don't! Thanks,
