I 'm trying to figure out why you would squeegee that window with a pole in the first place ? You can't detail the window properly for the residential market . If you had a ladder up it would take a minute or two to clean and detail or a water fed pole .
We do these regularly and they turn out perfect, Jim. I have several discussions over the years about ladders versus poling. I've been inside after poling these windows and they look great. Not to mention the homeowner (my insurance agent) is extremely happy that I stay off ladders as much as possible.
That Wagtail device is handy.
My thinking is that you can do a satisfactory job with a pole if you clean it often as Tony does. If they get too dirty, poling gets more and more iffy and time consuming to the point where a ladder will probably save time in the long run.
We have many jobs that are twice a year and use a traditional pole on. If you scrub properly, scrape where needed, have good squeegee technique, and use a quality detailing towel the results are more than adequate. Plus you are safer not being on a ladder.
