This is a concept picture of a Waterbroom. Would this be good for Tin Roof Cleaning?

Much like a surface cleaner, would the PSi and GPM determine how many nozzles, and if so how would that be determined?

Easy Take your nozzle size you currently use and devide that # by the amount of nozzles to get the size of each nozzle. Good luck finding sizes inbetween you have to stick to whole or half sizes. For example if you use a #5 tip use 5 #1 tips if you have 5 nozzles. If you have 10 nozzles use a #.5 or 1/2 for each For 2 nozzles use a #2.5 in each. Three nozzles I would suggest going to a #2 for each as 3 #1.5 nozzles would be equivelent to a #4.5

dont forget

the langth of the pipe between the tips is determined by the spray pattern of the tips[15 deg,25,deg 40 deg] and the hight of the wheels will effect the amount of pressure hitting the surface.
Smaller wheels will give more impact but you need the spray pattern to overlap.
Wiz to you think the center tip will have more power then the side ones because it's in a direct line with the pressure?
I thought the store bought kind had some kind of baffle?

Hey Wiz,
That's a great exploded view of a very good idea. However, in your picture you show the lawnmower wheel located right next to a spray tip, if this is a 15 or 25 degree tip, you will be wasting half of the cleaning area of that tip (on each side)on cleaning the wheel(s). There should be an additional 3-6 inches allowed between the wheel and the outboard tips.
Also a swivel between the trigger gun and the long pipe will allow for easier control and movement.
I think I might put one of these together just for fun.

That is why I call it a concept picture your imagination is the limit. It sure gave you guys something to ponder about. How else can you cheeply wash a roof without falling off of the roof?

Concept #2 Drawing?????????

How about an alternate Wheel kit?

Based on my experience installing/servicing fire suppression systems, all of the nozzles should have the same pressure and volumn. I would be concerned the nozzle spray by the wheels would cut the plastic wheels. If you use pipe, use quick connectors to change the length of the pipe used. Why couldn't you use a hose on the carriage, then throw a rope over the roof to pull the whole thing back and forth? Maybe even tie a heavy weight to keep tension on the carriage.

How far apart do the nozzles have to be to get the right overlap? I know it depends on the height of the bar and the degree of spray pattern. Just say that you used 40 degree tips. I don't know how high the wheels are so I don't know how to figure that.
