How to use the nozzle calculator

When using the nozzle calculator, after I enter the gpms of my machine, do I enter the desired psi or the actual psi of my machine to come up with my nozzle size? All replies will be greatly appreciated. Just trying to learn.

Desired psi will give you the nozzle size you're seeking, even if the desired is the rated psi.

Whats neat about that tool is you can put in ANY 2 parameters and it will come up with the third........AND the HP required. Ive used it to build a system Im working on now. Also used it to get the right nozzle for downstreaming on my little electric.
