Hello All,
I am Michigan and I struck a deal with a guy and put down a deposit for a pressure washing rig.

I have enclosed some pictures and specs.

The price is $1050.00 and I would need to drive to Florida which would cost me $500.00

Also if anyone knows anyone near the Lakeland area I would be interested in having them take a look at it for me.

He sent me some more pictures, everything needs to be freshened up, some cleaning work and replacing some lines, hoses, steel wool the crap out of things.

I would also replace the tank with a 275 gallon as I would be replacing the trailer with a 6x12.

I would plan on selling both pressure washers and buying one skid unit with a hot box.

I only have $2,000 to start and already have some jobs lined up. Let me know..

Thanks!!

I think its an excellent start. You don't need much more than the way it already is unless you are going to be doing commercial. I hope you have more than $2000 total though. You may spend another $500+ getting everything up snuff. You will need another few grand for advertising to keep the rig rolling.

If it were me, I would keep the better of the two pressure washers on the trailer and take the other off, set it up a little different with a 150 gal tank on it and go. You really dont need two engines starting out. I wouldnt spend more on equipment than that other than hoses until you get some cash flow. That rig probably wasnt used much, the engines look like they sat out in the rain more than they got used. Those hondas with gear reduction and cat pumps are pricey. Good buy for you.

My deals better!

Hey Advanced1! I'm just playing with you. We spoke about this and it looks to me like it will work good for you. Few points to ponder though. If you are going to change trailers anyway, and you want hot water, like mentioned in an earlier post, get cash flow going, then upgrade. Cold water machines can do alot, and can get the money flowing before overbuying.Do you need the trailer, or is it an investment cause you'll sell it later? Be sure and operate everything before taking. My experience with buying used is you are often taking someone elses headache. Would be bad to buy, then find out it's more costly than buying newer. Be real sure of what repairs are needed and mybe get in writtting what neds to be done with an out if more issues arise than what was disclosed from the seller. Hope it works out for you and remember, I'm still here when you need me.:) If your going to Florida to pick this up, stop in when passing through Atlanta and say Hi.

You cant buy anything for a grand...So i would say you got a great deal!!

I have worked with a guy washing carnival rides, he made about $800 per show. When he moved out to Oklahoma he left the area without a pressure washer. I am still debating though because of the investment. I have a background in marketing and am pretty resourceful. My town is smaller but I hope to be able to travel. My main focus would want to be Log Home restoration, and wooden playgrounds in city parks.
