Joining Two Water Tanks

I am re-thinking the design in my F450 Box Truck. It currently has a 425 gallon doorway tank and its 29 inches deep. I like the capacity but want more and I was thinking of putting in 2 300-350 gallon round tanks that are 35 inches in daimeter so that I have some more water for washing fleets.
How do you join them together????? Double Fills?? Pipe the outlets at the bottom into one line???? Help me out here, I am getting frustrated with thinking about this....
Help is appreciated!
Anyone make custom size tanks at reasonable prices????
Thanks,
Mike

use 2 inch pipe to conjoin at the bottom. when you will one the level in the other will go up as well. if you want to fill both from the top at the same time then just T the fill pipes but I had plenty of luck with just connecting them together at the bulkheads and they would fill at the same time pretty much

I believe that the 2" pipe connecting the tanks are to just to level out the water in the 2 tanks. I would fill from the top of the tanks.

You could have a 1" or 2" "T" on the top so you can fill each tank at the same time or put valves on each inlet to keep them separate if you had valves on the bottom of the tanks also in case you were going to use one of the tanks for something else or if one ever had a crack or leak.

I would not fill from the bottom as there will eventually be a little bit of head pressure (not too much since the tanks are not too tall) but the head pressure could slow down the flow of water into the tank some, unless you are filling from a hydrant, plenty of pressure there.
