ive worked with that company before in b.cand what there not saying is he didnt wear his kevlar cut-suit wich is an industry standard here in canada ,some companys even make u wear a turtle shell!(looks like a baseball -catchers or umpires attire)and yes even a metatarcel on the foot not on the pedal!!
Here, all the High pressure systems that I have seen in the oil industry 20,000psi to 40,000psi were rig mounted and operated with hydraulics and the operator is in a chair away from where the work was done.
I bet if that hose came out of the pipe and just hit you it would cause serious damage let alone cut you open.
hey chris i saw a guy get injected thro both legs with a flex lance@10 k ( we were cleaning heat exchanger tubes). preety sure amputation was involved.
I did some of this type of work with the 20k blasters. Saw a guy we were working with almost loose an arm from the same thing. We were at a paper mill jetting a pipe and it came back out. Nasty stuff. Def need to be on the ball there when doing that
