Can I get some input on Mc Donalds for hood cleaning, Im going to talk to a owner tuesday she has 3 stores. I have some good restaurant accounts but have never cleaned any fast food. Any advice would be great.....thanks Bryan

The McD. that we service are a challenge, only because of the design of the low filter set. Because of this they are very difficult to hang plastic. We use a plastic horse water container that fits within the cube. The number of systems vary and most systems have angle in the vertical with a access door. Stores take 3.5 hours to 4.5.

Good luck

Hello Bryan,

Had a guy call a few months back. Said he owned 5 McD's and wanted a price to clean the exhaust systems. He was unsatisfied with his present vendor.

All of his stores are located 1-3 hour drive one way from my shop. I asked him why he was searching for a new contractor. He said that the current company was not reliable and didn't think they were doing a very good job! I asked him how much he was currently paying for this service. $250 he said. Per system or per store I asked. Per store he said.

The conversation ended shortly after when I told him our price would be considerably more than what he is currently paying.

That is a link to a previous thread discussing McDonalds, it has some good info and some pictures of how I contain the water, we capture the water on the roof and dump it down the duct. You will find most stores will have a horizontal section of duct, some accessible some not. Make sure you check this out and discuss option to rectify this situation before you place a bid, we average about 3 hrs per job, We have spent all night in one store on many occasions, they had been severely neglected though. They can be a huge pain in the %#$# until you figure out a system, and sometime even aft you figure it out.
