New membership cards

Has anyone recieved there new PWNA membership cards for this year?

I haven't. The reason I'm asking this question is because I went to the PWNA website www.pwna.org to see what some of there benefits are.

The benefit that I was most interested in at this time was for Vision care. Upon reading the info about this it said to present your card. Is that the card for active PWNA membership?

If anyone can answer this it would be greatly appreciated.
Also has anyone used there vision care benefit and what do you think about it.

Thanks in advance.

John,

Thanks for asking, I too was wondering where the membership cards where, I had asked headquarters a while ago to make some new ones, they didn't realize there was a membership duration on each card and had not made new ones, we are researching another way of printing them, we are probably going to do them in a strong paper stock, that can be laminated. do you have a card now? did you never get one? I like the paper stock idea because we can update the card each time a member gets a new certification etc.
I'll get em moving, thanks Chris

Chris,
Thanks for responding. I have an old card that was expired over a year ago and I think I may have tossed it when I clean out my wallet(In more ways then one.lol)

So as of now I have no card that even says I'm a member of the PWNA.

Also do you understand the Vision care benefit that the PWNA offers? Is the card needed for this benefit the PWNA card?

This is the reason why I was asking about this card because on my other job I have an optical plan that pays out $200/yr towards glasses/contacts and I would like to combine it with the benefit the PWNA offers with there Vision care but of course I don't have a PWNA card or what ever card that they say that has to be presented to get this benefit.

Thanks

Hi John,

I just spoke with Dixie at headquarters, she is sending you a brochure that she thinks explains how this works, she thinks it'a a supplemental plan, but could'nt tell me wheather it would work with your plan, Also I am in the process of looking closely at all the benefits, throwing out the usless ones and keeping the best and getting better ones.
As far as getting a new card try calling headquarters at 800-393-PWNA (7962) I see no reason we can make one up . thanks chris

Chris,
I'll be looking forward to recieving the Brochure and if I use it I will post how it has panned out.

My Plan at work gives me $200 towards optical but it isn't its own plan per say which is the reason I'm looking into the PWNA plan.

Thanks again.:)
