Paint on ashphalt

I wouldnt remove it i would reseal the asphalt. The problem is that most products like caustic will damage the asphalt.

simply go to a home center and buy asphalt emulsion seal.

seems that would be and easier method.

I used Henry 532 to seal asphalt after paint removal. The paint that I removed was very thick, so sealing over it was not an option. I washed it down to an acceptable level with a 25 degree tip, with minimal substrate damage (removed the seal coat) and then used the Henry. A 5 gallon bucket was about $25.00 at Home Depot and I have plenty left over. It does however take 24 hours to have full traffic over it, but is dry to the touch in about 30 minutes.

I forgot to mention this is on city streets. A local company is sponsering a 10K and the people making the markers got out of hand and made smiley faces on the streets and they want them removed.

i had my local paint store get it for me to remove some paint on a block wall.
cant remember the cost. sorry
