I was just wondering what others are paying for Poly sheeting. A 10x100 roll of 2 mil has went up to $36 bucks a roll at the local Lowes store. any body know of a good bulk supplier?
 
I buy my plastic from a local hardware store a pallet of 100 rolls is $15.60 a roll. The plastic I buy is 10 by 100 2 mil and the company is sunbelt plastics. They are now a tyco company. I called them last year and you can get it a little cheaper if you order 2 pallets at a time.
 
I think Tyco owns a bit of everything. I'd put money on them having a peice of at least 50% of everthing you touch in the fire safety industry. $10 to $16 a roll seems about the average from east to west. If your paying retail for any of your supplies I'd take a good long look through the yellow pages to find a supplier for your cleaning products. The time invested in a little supplier research could save you hundreds, if not thousands per year.
 
hey buddy check out your local porter paints store or any other local store and work a deal with them they are bendable you just have to get to know them.

Last year at this time I was paying $9.00 a roll. They have used every excuse in the world to raise their prices. The two main reasons were oil and katrina. Their costs didn't go up by 35%.
 
I get mine from a local paint supply store. 12x200x1.5 $19 roll
 
Apco plastic in Edison N.J. 732-287-3000.About 18 a 200 foot roll of 2 mil.

When we started in 98, poly was about $8 a roll. It slowly increased to around $14-$17 a roll and hung there for a while. over the last year it has shot up to $27 and then $36. I contaced the manufacture of the particular brand that I was buying (sunbelt) to try and buy it by the pallet but they said that they cant keep up with their current demand and are currently not selling to end users directly and if they resume it is going to still be around $33 bucks a roll. Still shopping. I will try that place in NJ.

I also buy from the local harware store home depot, and the price has gotten out of hand. I use 1 mill 10x400 you get twice the amount for the same price. Keep in mind that it is half as thick. I have had no problems with it but ya gotta be careful with it.
 
10x25 rolls of plastic here

I buy cases of 10x25 rolls of plastic in cases of 6 rolls for about $4.50 a roll at Sutherland's in pearl, MS. It's 4 mil.. I cant use 2 mil it's too thin.. I tried it one time with 2 mil and when I shot 3500 psi down the duct I blew the plastic half way across the kitchen floor.....
