Pressure Washer Stolen!

Hello Guys, I just found out that my Stainless Steel Allison Ironhorse Hot Water Skid that was at the repair shop was stolen 2 weeks ago and they did not tell me. I just found out when I went there to pick it up.

Please be on the lookout here in Texas if you see a Stainless Steel hot water skid for sale or on ebay.

I will find pictures and post them later when I calm down, just very frustrated right now.

Thanks for any help.

Oh boy that sucks and is a double wammy. That's got to be an 800lb skid and why your repair shop didn't tell you sooner is a mystery. Hopefully they have tue proper insurance to cover your loss. I'm always looking on craigs list nationally and eBay for pressure washer items just out of curiosity. If I come across any skid that even resembles the Iron horse I'll notify ya.

This was the oldest shop in town and their insurance does not cover theft.

My business insurance did not add the skid earlier this year like I asked them to along with sending them pics and info of the skid but apparently it was not done.

My homeowners policy does not cover it also.

My State Farm agent told me that hardly any shops anywhere have insurance for customer's items, kind of like if something is stolen out of your vehicle while at the movie theatre or grocery store, they are not responsible. I know it sucks bad but I called a few other companies to check on this, not sure if it is just a Texas thing but it is real and sucks!

I will be calling the shop owner on Monday, he was not there today and talk to him. Got the police report number and will get a copy along with giving them pics of the hot water rig in case someone spots something.

It is a shame because that is the only reputable shop in town, the other one is very dishonest and tried to sell me a used machine as new, it was a couple years old with hours on it but they cleaned it up good.

This really sucks in so many ways.

Hey Chris You may have to go back to the Police Dep't who has jurisdiction there(Should be the one where you filed the Report with) and ask them if you haven't already what your options are here. It very well maybe a Civil case but either way you have a case here.

The first thing is you left your Powerwasher in the care of your repair shop. Because this is the repair shop that you use the best thing is to do what your doing first which is to talk to the Shops Owner when he comes in Monday. He very well may make good on this because it was in his care so this unfortunate thing could be solved right there......but if it isn't and he just says Sorry man and thats that kind of thing now you have options. A 1000lb skid just doesn't walk off on its own and these repair shops don't just misplace something of that size... So at that point this guy should not play you for a fool. Its on his property, its in his care which you both agreed upon which is why you dropped it off and now He can't find it and he doesn't want to make this right(Hopefully he does the right thing here)At that point do not get suckered into an arguement or anything with him. If he just sticks to his guns and basically says there's nothing he can do...Leave.

Some people would want to take a bat to his head here but obviously you can't do that. Go back to your Police Dep't now and discuss with them what your options are and if its a Civil matter how do you go about handling that. That's going to suck because you will now have to take him to court and all of that is time consuming and doesn't help you now but there's not much else you can do that wouldn't get you in trouble.

Keep us posted on what he said. I can't wait to hear how this turns out. Where I live people are getting desperate. With this Hurricane we just had there's been a stabbing and a shooting on some gas lines because of the massive shortage here now. I'm not suggesting that your Repair shop guy stole your skid but a 1000lb skid doesn't usually just disappear and now the shops owner doesn't want to help you. out. Something doesn't sound right in that shop.

2 weeks and they didnt inform you!

I'm thinking the owner knows exactly what happened to it. Dig deep and push hard Chris. I bet anything you'll will find out. Has anyone elses stuff gotten stolen from there in the past? Does he have video cameras? Sorry to hear this happened.

One of the shop techs sold it there is no way a skid that big just walks off without help. I would be willing to bet its rolling around in a competitors trailer thats where I would be looking. check to see if any of the shop techs moonlight as a pressure washer.

It was on my 5'x8' trailer.

Their fence chains and locks were cut.

A month earlier their back fence was cut and a machine was out in the field where they located it and got it back in and repaired the fence.

3 other trailer rigs were stolen at the same time besides mine.

They got a police report made and gave me the number of the report so I will have to go there and get a copy.

I will contact the police after I talk to them.

Thanks guys.

Sorry Chris, it's a shit world out there !!!

If you took your truck to the dealer to have a brake job done and it got stolen that would be the same thing. Doubt you would shrug it off
