Pressure Washers Of America - Org

AZ PowerWash Pros

New member
Okay so I told Ron I would not give up on this Org! And I have not. So I am still working on the website and figuring out how I am going to save everyone money but I have some tricks up my sleeve.

I plan on saving everyone money who joins. I'm working on different ways to get everyone discounts. I am still working on the website and I only wrote the content up there in a couple hours because I have to figure out exactly where I am going with it.

But check it out: Pressure Washers Of America or http://www.pwoa.org

I know Ron and Doug are turning the UAMCC around and making it a great Org and I believe the PWNA probably is a great Org too but I figure there is always room for 1 more. And this Org is brand new and has fresh start!!!

I am going to need help from everyone. This is not a non-profit Org. It is a for Profit Org. That does not mean I am going to be making a bunch of money and take advantage of the Org. I am planning on having an election and electing a council of members. And everyone is going to know where the money is going in our meetings with minutes and the whole 9 yards. But at the same time I can't imagine the Org making that much money in the first place because our fees are not going to be very high. Really I just want to save contractors money and help contractors voice the opinions on water reclamation and other issues that effect us on a day to day basis. There is a ton more work to do and this is just the VERY beginning. But its a start.

And just before I get comments. About the name. I looked for weeks on Godaddy for different 4 letter or 3 letter acronyms with .org endings and almost everything is taken. And I didn't want to put "the" in front like PWNA has on there website. So when I finally found 1 that worked I went with it. I don't think it really matters because this is Pressure Washers not Power Washers and this is also Of America not North America. Also, the logos are completely different. And in all honestly I like mine better. But I know there will be mixed emotions about it here. And I'm not begging people to accept it because I am going to do it either way but if you like it and want to save money when I am done with everything, PLEASE JOIN.

Let me know if you want to help and what your thoughts and recommendations are?

Also, I had to buy all the pics off Istockphoto because I did not want to use mine just so u know.

ALSO AGAIN HAPPY B DAY DOUG!!!

Ty we need to talk about if your going to promote any wash water control ?

The POWERWASH industry needs another org going the right direction.

I was trying to see how to join but I guess the site is still in progress.

I called then got hanged up on, twice. I guess everyone is very busy getting it started.

Discounts to places like AT&T, Grainger, Car Rental places, etc.... probably would be easy but would benefit a lot of us, especially Grainger if we could get discounts, their prices are higher than anyone by a lot but they usually have just about everything or can have it in a day or two.

I would like to know more about joining and am with Ron, there should be a washwater or reclamation part to help educate contractors in THE CORRECT WAYS OF RECLAIMING and not spread nonsense, mis-information or lies. There is too much mis-information out there and it is still being spread daily and also there are scare tactics still being used that are just scaring contractors into buying non-needed, expensive equipment that is not needed most of the time but the contractors don't know where to turn to find out the truth, this org can be the difference.

Glad to see you posting Kevin, have not seen you on the bbs in a while.

Where did you move to?

Hey Ty-- Your right the more orgs/associations out there cannot hurt this industry most of the time. It gets us contractors names out there along with it. The name is cool but its so similiar in sound as the PWNA why not brand a name that stands out on its own and yes I see you say that you had a hard time out there finding a name with .org but some of those names can be bought relatively cheap if there not in use and also there are Associations you can use also. Chris from the http://windowcleaningresource.com/ has a for profit group that seems to be doing really well from what I hear.

Either way good luck on the direction your taking even with the name and if the org is worth joining I'm sure you'll get plenty of people signing up.

Speaking of Chris- He's one heck of a nice guy. Almost makes me want to get into the Window cleaning business again:yes:

Chris, sorry I tried calling you back and we got disconnected. We are still working on it. We have a long way to go before we accept memberships. Ill keep everyone posted. Thanks for the support from everyone. Keep posting comments and opinions.

Our plan is to educate, but the council will help make all these types of decisions. I will be in contact with you Ron!

Ty, glad to hear your still pursing this. Exciting to know. Best of luck and if I can do anything or help in anyway, just say the word.
