Price for a large job

I am new to this and have a question about a job. A painter friend contacted me saying he was offered to bid on a power washing job for 50 town houses, he does not want it and asked me if I wanted to bid, (ah yeah) how do I price out a job like this?

Thank you in advance

Do you know your hourly costs? How much you can clean approximately an hour? What material are these townhomes made of? Are there any obstacles that would slow you down? How much time are you going to save on having all these 50 properties in a row vs having to drive to different properties?

Not trying to be difficult your question is just too vague to answer.

If you're "new to this", the first question you need to answer is... 'are you capable of doing the job properly?' (i.e. do you have enough knowledge and experience to do the job) The next question would be 'are you equipped to do the job?'

Is your 'friend' putting his reputation on the line by recommending you?

I have to see a pic of the front and back before anything. Building only or is concrete involved? How much travel?

Thanks everyone for your reply, yeah I guess I was very vague. It is 50 town houes in a row that have vinyl siding. they are the next town over so travel would be 30 min round trip. They are two story and only four units are end units. I have not seen it yet, but the person refering said he painted a couple of door fronts there and they are pertty easy to get to.

I do not know how long it will take to do the front of one unit, I am guessing not that long 30 minutes at the most, it took me 45 min to do my own house which is an over sixed ranch.

Sorry for the rookie post,
