Ready seal Lid

Just got my first order of ready seal. But I have a dumb question :help:. It has an easy pour screw cap built into the lid. However I want to remove the lid
(5 gal pail) and it is not like most 5 gal lids I've seen, doesnt want to come off, is it designed to come off or is there a special tool I should use?

NEVER MIND, I got the lid off got one of these

which didnt work at all until I used my dremel to grind down the end until it fit the lid.
