Saw this setup on eBay....

Nice looking set-up but for $6995 not worth it. First of all I don't like the Powerwasher set-up at all and the 4gpm rating is not high enough for commercial cleaning. I would look for 5gpm and up machine for commercial cleaning.

Also for that money I would want the 500 gal tank mounted on the trailer not the 325 tank and the 50' of pw hose is nothing. I would want at least 200' and preferably 300'-400' of hose. And where is the surface cleaner for that price??

Remember even thought this set-up has not really been used it is considered used and once it is the value has depreciated off the bat and for the $6995 that I think it sold for I can find much better deals then that new for a better set-up.

Just my opinion.

Yup!!!!

Thanks for the input John. I have been doing even MORE research on used rigs (I am working tonight and have internet access) so I agree with your comments completely.

Still, more input is welcome from others if they wish to share.

Seems like rig setup could be a science unto itself. Someone should write a book dedicated soley to this aspect of the business.

Would make BIG money I tell you!!! :D

Another thing I would like to add is that don't be suckered in by a machine that has high psi and lower gpm. Like everyone else says go with 5 gpm or higher. You really don't need anything over 3000 psi. I would really consider buying from Mark. I bought a smaller cold machine from him and everything has been great. The thing I like about Mark is that after you buy from him he can still be found unlike some people I have dealt with. I broke a vented plug on my machine I bought from him and he sent me two for free. It is the little stuff like that that will have me coming back to him for stuff. Another thought to a set up would be to set up everything yourself. The only thing I don't like about buying pre setup rig is that sometimes there isn't room for other things you want to carry or you would like to set your stuff up to your liking. I would call Mark and talk to him about what work you plan on doing and he can help set you up with you need. A lot of times your rig setup will vary depending on the type of work you do. Somebody working car lots will be different then someone wahing buildings or someone doing flatwork. I must warn you don't always go with the cheapest price. Everything Mark may sell may not be the least expensive but his service will make up for the price difference. A lot of people out there will sell you stuff at cheap prices and when something breaks they can't be found. The hot water machine I bought ( I will not say from who) was a 5.5 gpm 3500 psi machine. I used it for about a week and a half and all kinds of stuff starting going wrong. My gearbox blew up, the hose inlet cracked off, the heater switch was busted off, the fuel inlet casing was cracked. I called them and they gave me the run around. Said everything was my fault. I then called my credit card company and told them, they said call them back and tell them you called us and ask them again to fix the problem. I did and they got all worried. I had to force them to fix all the stuff that was wrong. You really have to watch out for who you deal with. Mark is a good guy. You can usually tell the good ones for how they act once they sell you something.

hey surfin

im a bit of an ebay guru.
If your looking for a deal on what some call a "entry level unit" or if someone is looking for a real nice back-up unit then
3102537232 is what you want.
compare the statements in the prev. posts and cost's involved. On top of that LANDA is a very respected brand name.
At $1750 compared to that $7000 no name set-up,you could buy a tank, trailer, surface cleaner,2 hose reel's,extra 50 ft of pressure hose,100 ft of supply hose, turbo tip, and still have money left over.
If i were not broke and if i lived near TX i would have to think hard on this one.

I just got my new rig this weekend and have been playing with it the past couple days. I can definitely attest to the fact that the GPM makes a huge difference. Up to now I have used a 4gpm 3500 psi cold water machine, and the 5.6gpm 3000psi hot water machine I have now cleans so much faster. For what that ebay rig was going for you could set up something similar with a much better machine.

Thanks all...

I appreciate all the feedback.

Mike - Yup. I actually spent some time at various sites and came to same conclusion.

Ron - Saw that one too. Might be something to consider. I will e-mail him if the auction falls through. Thanks for the headsup!

Steve - I really appreciate the info and sharing your experiences. Feel free to e-mail directly about the company you had problems with so I can steer clear. I will keep it confidential.

Mark - I did spend some time at your site. Some really nice gear there. Do you have a set % discount for contractors? Your site mentioned calling for special contractor pricing. I will be e-mailing soon with more info.

Happy New Year!

Paul
