Slate-stone patio

I'll try this board , too.

Just got a call to estimate a slate stone patio. 27x7. Old, covered in three coats of paint--type of paint yet to be determined, if it can be determined at all. Need a heavy duty alkaline stripper. Any info? Comments? Going to look at it Tuesday Morning.

Anybody have any luck with HD-80 on anything other than wood?

the paint type will need to be determined. this is all about the chemical reaction that you need to have happen. on old oil based paints you need solvent strippers. on water usally caustic based will do the job. many urathane paints have many different strippers.

let us know and i have one product that has worked well in the past.

also post this down in the distributor section and i'm sure someone has something that they might send you,, maybe a test gallon for free!!
