Some Hose Help

I have used a 75' 5/8" Garden hose with my pressure washer for about 3 years now. It was a great hose too. But for the past 2 months it developed a "bubble" right where the hose meets the machine. the bubble started out about 1/2" long but 2 months later grew to about 4" long.

So I went out and bought a brand new top of the line 75' 3/4" commercial hose. Spent $40 on it from home depot. I used it twice and loved it. But today I looked down at it and it had a bubble about 4" long in the same spot the other got it's.

Is this common? What causes it? I was not pulling moving the machine around either with that hose connected.
 
I have a hose that we sell for $35.00 and it's highly industrial. It's an apex contractor series hose heavy brass fittings for the connectors. The length is 125 feet. We've used the hose in all of our set-ups for the past 6 years. Cheap yet unbelievably good hose. I'll try to look up a picture or you can look back at some of my equipment set-ups. It's the hose on the bottom reel.

A hose reel may also be something for you to consider and then you can simply put a short piece of heater hose between the washer and the hose reel. It'll save time which in turn will save money.
 
Maybe he is laying it up to something HOT.

On the subject of hose.........i'm still using the orignal fill hose that came with my trailer in April 1999. The thing I really like about it is the way it attaches to the spigot.......it has a really big grip.....instead of using your fingertips, you grasp it with your whole hand. You can't beat it.......it makes it so much faster and easier to attach the hose.

Does anyone else have a hose like this?
 
Probaby cheap hose. If it's not next to anything hot, it's similiar to other products manufactured these days.... CHEAP and no in the USA.

I've had that happen with other hoses. Heat or cheap, it's one of those.
 
Based on past posts, Rocko uses a pressure fed machine. Depending on the water pressure in his area, that may be the problem.
When I have my home hose fully open at the spigot, and use a shutoff on the hose end, I seem to ruin all my hoses from the pressure build up.
So when he lets go of the gun, that water hammer has to go somewhere.
 
Did you consider cutting off the bad part of the original hose and replacing it?
