PWNA Express- March 2002

Message from PWNA president Christopher Detter…………

The Power Washers of North America (PWNA) is proud to announce the selection of its new association management firm. Mr. Jack Pitzer, president of JMP Productions, Alexandria, VA. has been chosen as the new Executive Director, and has assumed all responsibilities for directing the PWNA to new levels.

Jack and his team come to us with outstanding qualifications with clients including the IWCA (International Window Cleaning Association), the FFA (Future Farmers of America), NAADA (National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association) and NAAE (National Association of Agricultural Educators).
Jack worked for the FFA from 1965 through 1998, until FFA relocated to Indianapolis, IN.
Jack is strong “idea man” and a creative thinker for marketing, organization development and promotion. He is a well-rounded communications specialist with a clear understanding of a team-oriented management style.
Pitzer is also an effective leader in the trade show and meeting planning industry. He has served on the local board of the International Association of Exposition Managers; the trade show industry’s association. In 1987 he was president of the American Agricultural Editors Association.
JMP Productions, Inc. provides comprehensive services to the association industry including membership support, database management, publicity and public relations, meeting and convention support, bookkeeping services, board and committee support, order fulfillment and central office services.
Effective April 1, 2002, our new address of the PWNA will be 7801 Suffolk Court, Alexandria, VA. 22315-4029. Our new telephone number will be 800-393-PWNA (7962) or 703-971-4011. Fax will be 703-971-7772. E-mail will be PWNAHQ@aol.com.

I personally feel very excited and confident in the abilities of Jack and his team to help the PWNA become the model organization its members deserve. Jacks down to earth, “regular guy” attitude is exactly what the PWNA needs to “kick it up another notch” Please feel free to give Jack, Cathy, Dixie, or Pam a call to welcome them aboard, I’m sure they would love to hear from you.

Charlie,

No, this was not the company that sent out that questionaire. I believe the company that sent it was one of the others being considered. Andrew's company was considered also.

I don't believe Andrew left on bad terms, it was just time for us to move in a different direction, under some new leadership, to, as Chris puts it "kick it up a notch".

We are all excited to have Jack on board, and look forward to working with him.

Ron,
Thank you for those kind words, and thank you for realizing how big of a step this was.

I'll be in touch buddy.......

Chris

:) :) :)

I'll bet the phones get answered now, and if someone says they will call us back they will do it too!

With that remark I say congrads to the Board for getting a new management company.

Looking forwards to greater and better things to come.

Jon

PS: Will the PWNA web site be maintained now too?

Hey Jon,

Regarding the PWNA.org web site, we have a team working on it right now. We plan to have it revamped and up and running in about 30-45 days. Thanks for asking
Chris
