IF I did not have adaquate pressure from my spikot how would I know that when running my pressure washer??

Is this what they mean when you are starving your pump??

BEst regards,harvey

Harvey... Most of us install an additional tank for a water storage. We let the water go into the tank and then draw from the bottom of the tank.

I will try to find an example.

Harvey, I generally run directly from the spigot too. I will determine how long it takes to fill a 5 gallon bucket. I look for a flow at least 1 gpm greater than the pump - e.g. 5 gallon flow for a 4 gpm pump. When the close I recheck with the supply hose attached, as you will get some pressure/flow drop through the hose.
Much of your work is on new construction, so we often hook up at the water meter.

Most municipal water supplies will provide 40-60 PSI and 6-8 GPM. Both are more than adequate to provide the flooded suction you need for your pump.

If you are on a well then you should know the ability of the well to supply at least 10 GPM to allow for the odd toilet flush while you are working. Most well pumps will supply 60 PSI as well.

Hope this helps? Cheers.
