Yet another industry being destroyed by idiots. Perc is the safest and most effective dry cleaning solvent in the world. It's also inexpensive.
There has not been 1 human death attributable to perc in the history of the world.
On the other hand there have been at least 3 deaths directly caused explosions by morons cleaning with carbon dioxide trying to be a "green" dry cleaner.
Studies as far back as 1960 show increases in cancer in dry clean employees who WORK WITH THIS STUFF EVERY DAY are so small they are INCONCLUSIVE and could be caused by almost any other risk factor such as smoking, etc.
If an employee works with it undiluted every day for 30 years, breathes it, handles it, gets it on their skin, etc and cancer increases are inconclusive - how many people are going to die in New Jersey from 100 gallons of perc in a billion gallon river?
We used to be in this business. The EPA must be following me around. First, when in the HVAC business they banned freon, then when I went to dry cleaning they began the crusade against perc. What's next? I'd better get out of this industry or water will be banned next.
If you give a mouse enough water he will die. Should be ban that too?
There's my 2 cents. :kiss3:
