Was just wondering do they made a trailer mounted cold water unit?You always see hot water,mite be good for someone starting out with a little less cash layout.

Yes. They make them. I would just put one together myself but if you wanted to buy one, it's no problem.
Talk to MARK in equipment area.

Now i know why there are lowballers out there, home depot $1500 for a start-up special and free financing for 6 months. No wonder they can try and wash a house for $99.
i would suggest getting a oversized trailer and tank so you have room to upgrade if/when you need too.
If cheap is what your after, home depot has everything but tank and reels but i bet MARK sells it better quality and in the same ball park. Dont forget to add tax and shipping of parts [if needed] for a home built type. Also your time to build and run around.

I already got a quote from Mr. Walters for insurance and checked into a business lic.Already got a price for bus. cards.I know what to charge without lowballing it,wich I wouldn't do in the first place.I used to run a lawn care business untill the lowballers got so bad
I said forget this and sold out and made a profit.

I did not mean to imply anything. Eveyone needs a starting place. I just wanted you to know what your in for.
When i see a job thats been screwed up real bad, i tell the customer its from too much SUDS. They get a look on and ask suds? I say yea the guy who did this was drinking too meny suds. lol
by the way, there are going to be just as meny lowballers in the wash industry as grass cutting.
Anytime HOME DEPOT sells a machine or product that you can make a living at, your going to get lowballers.

I think I will give this idea a second thought.I got a great job now.Not many people around can say they really like there job.I get out at 1:30pm,so the weekend really ends up being 2 and half days off.I can't work Sat. after 1pm due to local stock car racing I am involved with.Guess I better think about this a little more.Thanks again.

you might be one of the few people that can work by word of mouth and do deck work.
You dont need eveything i listed for that kind of work. A DEPOT special, BETH and RODS phone number, and some ready seal.
You can charge more for deck work and pick your customers. I would get a biz. name and insurance but home depot would be your parts place if you buy from them. Would'nt even need a trailer.
Your hours are perfect. Wash in the afternoon's.
Do your sealing on sat. morning before it get's hot. Do 1 a week and tell people you work for cash only. Playsets,fences,decks and houses are all good for you. KISS = keep it simple stupid
i have to stop and tell this to myself every day.
 
Mike, your post reminded me that I wanted to ask if you it technically makes sense to use the moisture meter on a masonry surface? I have been using an oil based concrete sealer - it is such hi solids that moisture content of the surface is really important.

BILL i was under the impression that sealers had to let mosture out and prevent moisture from getting in
in other words it has to breeth
think i learned that on the V-SEAL site.
