UFC 88 Chuck Liddell vs. Rashad Evans

Who's your pick for Liddell vs. Evans on September 6, 2008 in Atlanta?

I'm going with Liddell of course. Rashad has not impressed me enough. His last two fights were against Michael Bisping and Tito Ortiz.

He wins a weak split decision over Bisping and a draw to Tito Ortiz who Chuck TKO'd twice.

I say Chuck will mop the floor with him. Chuck will have a big reach advantage and will use it well. He has never lost to a fighter shorter than 6 feet.

Liddell's chin was exposed by Rampage Jackson, but I will still go with Chuck in THIS fight.
Fedor is the BOSS :)

I saw that fight a few nights ago. While I think Chuck would have lost I disagree with the "he went limp" talk from the announcers. From one angle he did appear to go limp, but from the other angle you could clearly see Chuck never went limp. Premature stop to the fight, in my opinion, even though I think Jackson would have won anyway.

What say you?

Liddell's can only fight standing up.....if he get taken down by someone with a good ground and pound game he's in trouble....Chuck's not what he used to be after losing a lot lately....

I wasn't impressed by that "fight" or the "decision" that was made either...maybe it's just because I am a Chuck Liddell fan...

Have any of you seen the fight between Chuck and Rampage in Pride? COMPLETE owning by Rampage. No room for doubts in that fight. I think Chuck still has something left in the tank and will get a win over Evans.

Evans looked like he got tired in the Bisping fight. If he has worked on his cardio I think he will beat Chuck. Only thing is it has to go to the ground and Chuck is good at not letting anyone inside.

Rampage TOOK his punch, but Chuck was unable to take Jacksons.
That sums it all up.
I predicted victory for Jackson in that fight, but I was wrong about Jackson beating Griffin :(

Liddell is not my favorite fighter.
He is a sucker punch artist with great takedown defense.

Once he fights someone who can take his punch, and delive power of his own, he is done.

I also think he is vulnerable to a good leg kicker ?

Like most sucker punch artists, he has a wide stance, with a leading leg that just invites a good kick.

I SAW Liddell high as all hell once, eyes rolling back in his head!

I will see if i can find the video ?

Dude, what was up with that?!

Well, as ANY recovering or active addict or alcoholic knows, the Man is Funked Up.
Dude, he is HIGH as a kite, see him itch ?
Eyes rolling back in his head ?
Narcotics man, Heroin, Oxycotin, Codeine, Morphine, etc, etc, etc.
He's a Dope Fiend, probably a natural athlete who stays high between fights, then, he cleans up and trains, wins fights ?

I cant say because this is the only time I have seen him high.

But make NO mistake, he is feeling NO pain :)

If Chuck doesn't get on the ground I think he will win it. Evans is stout as all get out. If he gets Lidell down it's over. But I gotta go with Chuck.

I have seen everyone of his fights. Watch his fight against Vitor Belfort, a brazilian black belt in jiujitsu. He could not keep Chuck down. Also watch his fight against Jose "Pele" Landi-Jons. Also a BBJ. Chuck spent most of his time beating the crap out of him on the ground in a long thirty minute brutal bare knuckle war.
